Penguin and Pinecone: a friendship story

My son loves this book, and I love reading it. The story is super sweet. The art work is great. I have now purchased this book several times to give to other friends and their kids- we love it that much.

Absolutely wonderful story of a wayward pinecone and its new friend. I won't reveal details, suffice to say you will love reading this story with or to your child or grandchild. We certainly did, and grandchild loved it to, so much so I have to order the other Penguin adventure books! Beautiful!

I got this and a bunch of other things for my niece for Christmas this past year and I had a chance to look through and read it -- the reviews had me very interested in the book so I wanted to see for myself why it had gotten such praise.After reading, I can tell you that I didn't cry or anything like that, as some users have claimed, but I definitely felt a bit of a tug on my heartstrings for this little penguin and his pinecone. I feel that the message of separation and of love (bit corny for me to admit but true), was one that I definitely connected with and I think would be a great lesson for kids, and offers many chances for kids to realize that even after separation, and the growth that happens during separation, doesn't have to mean the two are still strangers.Then again, I'm rambling a bit too much and feel it would be best to let you experience this great little story on your own with your child. Definitely a worthy additional to whatever little library you have for your son or daughter and deserves to be proudly shelved next to any other classics you might have.

unusual story but a very cute and good one about friendship. illustrations were good also. glad i purchased it for my grandchild.

This hits all the necessary items for a kiddo book! We've been reading this to little ones before bed for a month now and even after a few weeks were still noticing something new in the artwork. Cute story about love and friendship which are powerful themes for growth - and appropriate artwork to foster improv convo.We're buying another book by the same author because we liked this one: Penguin and Pumpkin.

Love this book. It has great pictures and the story is adorable. I’ve boughten two for gifts. Definitely a favorite.

This story is about love and friendship.It is one of my son favourite bedtime story. The message it gives is beautiful so we chose it as birthday present for one of his favourite friend.

This is an awesome book for young children. I bought it for my grandson. My son told me that the first time he read it to his son, he cried. It is a very heartwarming story. I recommend it highly.

I’m a pre-K teacher and we are doing this book as a Christmas show. I got the book to read to the kids to help them understand what they’d be doing as little actors and they just love the story. I’ve read it twice and they seem to not even be tired of it, yet!

I read this beautiful book for Nursery children in December, outside in the forest, with pine cones all around us, and they loved it. They were captivated by the concept that the Pinecone turns into a pine tree. It provoked lots of questions and I loved the way the author and illustrator combined the beautiful illustrations with the words. A lovely story and book for young children.I have since read it to my 5 year old niece (via Zoom) and she loved it so much and wanted to read it herself, that I bought her a copy from Amazon and had it sent to her home address as a surprise! She loves it.
