Melts wax really fast!
Love this melter! It's perfect for what I am doing now. I used a double boiler for a short while but the amount was not enough to do the amount of candles I wanted. I am glad I ordered this melter because I am able to do bigger batches without having to melt more wax over and over again. The wax melts so fast, way better than the double boiler, the non-stick interior makes it easy to clean up when finished. And the price was right!

Amazing for candle making
All in all, this is a great device at a great price! It melts wax so fast on low; it only takes a few minutes to get to 185F. On high, it gets over 200F really quickly so I won’t use that setting again; waiting for it to cool down took longer than heating it up!The pouring spout works great! It’s a little awkward to pour with the cord plugged into the back so I carefully remove it before pouring.I’ve found that this can hold 2# of shaved wax initially, but once that melts it can hold more. I probably had around 3# in there and pouring was a little sloppy, so probably best to stay below that. It’s easy to clean with a paper towel while it’s still warm. The cord is short so you’ll likely want an extension cord. Also to note, it doesn’t come with a thermometer—I had one like in the pictures but if you don’t you’ll need to get one. It also came with 10 wick holders that are really handy.

Works great, easy to use.
I like this wax melter a lot. It's my first purchase of this kind so I don't have anything to compare to. It is relatively easy to clean, especially while it's still hot (you can just wipe the wax droplets out of the inside). The only tricky part is that the spout doesn't get hot, and the wax likes to get down in the gap between the inner pot and the plastic. So you kind of have to dig it out to get it fully clean. I like the 3 settings, and the 'keep warm' setting gets the wax pretty close to the perfect pouring temperature. Glad I chose this little guy as my first candle-making appliance.

Great small wax melter!!
I love this small melter for doing small batches of wax melts. The first heat setting gently heats the wax and the keep warm function is amazing. Holds two pounds of unmelted wax flakes easily. The cord is short, so if you need more mobility, grab a small extension cord. I use a pouring pitcher, so this just sits on my counter. The handle is chunky and easy to hold for arthritis or poor grip strength. The included spatula is great, love those little silicone spatulas for wax. I am completely flameless, so the wicks are a waste for me, but there are quite a few of them and wick stickers. It is a little costly for what it is, but comparable to others like it. The performance is fantastic and love that it doesn't burn my wax. There was no smell when I first turned it on like some others I have used. Very easy to use, a great starter electric melter.

Great temperature control
This little pot worked really well for melting soap. There's a nice range of temperatures to choose from. It also works well for wax and chocolate. The pour spout makes it easy to manage the contents. The price was good as well, compared to other models.

Dangerously hot for wax.
I used a hard paraffin wax. It heated up to 224 F instantly on the first setting which is low then you bump up to the highest setting then there’s a keep warm setting. The heat kept rising after the wax was fully melted. . I unplugged it at 213 and temp still kept rising to 224. Pretty scary that it could have got higher. I added more hard wax to keep the temp from going higher. Wax can combust and very flammable. It’s almost impossible to put out a wax fire. I know this from years of making wax products. I turned it back on to the keep warm setting and the temp went down to 176. Which isn’t hot enough to make proper candles or tarts. The reviews aren’t consistent which tells me they are all different and inconsistent as far as temp. I wouldn’t buy this and returning it. It has to be faulty.

Nice, but smaller than advertised
It’s a nice product but is much smaller than advertised, approximately 42oz max wax
