Sorry Starbucks, there is a new King of Coffee in my kitchen. Great any way you want to brew it. I done pour over, French press, espresso and drip brewing, as long as you mind your grind. Great aroma, smooth and never bitter or tangy.

This whole bean Lavazza Espresso is my daily driver for drip coffee (Breville precision). Also makes good espresso. Minus 1 star for two reasons:1) Not as good as your favorite locally roasted beans2) Freshness is not consistent. Its very good if you get lucky enough to receive a recently "manfucatured" date, but its only half decent if you are unlucky enough to receive an older bag. I estimate about half of the bags received were toward the fresher end of the freshness spectrum relative to the median ;-)Also some bags are rectangular and tight (not as tight as vacuum packed), while others are completely loose, like if the bag allowed some air to leak in. I have not noted that this makes any difference in freshness.Despite those weaknesses, this is the best value in whole beans under $.50/oz that I'm aware of. At least for my taste.

It's what I buy because it's good. There's better, but I can't afford it. There's worse too, and I stopped buying it. This is good coffee imo.

Excellent coffee ! It’s a tad expensive but if you compare it to buying a cup of coffee from Starbucks etc. it’s a frickin bargain. Great flavor with some complexity.Warning ! Don’t buy this coffee, You Too will be hooked !
