I have a low end gun cabinet and one of the wall brackets had broken off - the reason for trying this Magnet Gun Caddy. When I first saw the product, I was a bit underwhelmed. But a closer look at it found it to be incredibly useful.The foam was my immediate concern (and, remains a bit of a concern), but it is a dense foam and holds the barrel of a long gun securely. The magnet means that I can place it where I want it in the cabinet, which is a big win. There is also a hook and loop pad, if I want to place it somewhere without steel/iron.The description includes using in a vehicle, but the foam is not secure enough (in my opinion) to hold on to a long gun in an accident - holding upright through normal driving yes; but sudden maneuvers might stress it. As another reviewer mentioned, it is actually good for any long item - mops, rakes, hockey sticks would all work well.My remaining concern is the longevity of the foam. I am using it to hold a duty rifle so it is in and out of the holder regularly - I will report back if we have any issues with the foam.Overall, a good buy. Fills the niche that I needed at a good price. And, give me some ideas for other uses to try.

This Magnet Gun Caddy by FunBay is a good gun holder.The magnet is good enough to hold my shotgun when leaned against a car. It does provide protection on the gun with the foam grip. The foam is tough enough to grip the shotgun yet soft enough to not scratch the gun.It is made of very light materials.

I got this for my cabinet. I would like the magnet to be a bit stronger, but it does what it’s suppose to do which keep things straight up. Items must be straight up to hold it in place correctly and it will help keep things lined up and tidy.

This is little device is good for its single purpose of stabilizing your shotty at the top of the barrel, keeping it from sliding/falling over. Just keep in mind that you still must follow the rules of gun safety.Overall, I like this little device though it could use a stronger magnet. As it is, you can either use the magnet or the velcro but not both. This gun candy's magnet is strong enough to hold your rifle or shotgun vertically against your vehicle. And, if it can do that, it can also hold other similar objects like ice hockey sticks, lacrosse sticks, etc. It also comes with adhesive velcro strips of you're not using it with an iron/nickel surface. Truly a helpful gadget!

When at clay shooting events there is always rack space but not always near where you need it or are doing things. This magnetic barrel holder is just what we needed. We have a larger multiple barrel magnetic holder, but that is a little too wide to use in some places. This one is built for one gun and works perfectly by design. I wish the magnet where a little stronger, but haven't had an issue yet. My biggest fear is the slick magnetic surface on a slick waxed car surface could allow the unit to slide and drop the gun. Higher magnetic pull force would aid in preventing this as would a simple soft rubber skirt on the edge of this. Again it hasn't fallen yet, just my concern if it gets bumped accidentally.Overall this is a really nice barrel holder that serves its purpose perfectly.

As the Amazon listing states, this will fit up to a 12 ga shotgun barrel. But if using it for a 12 ga shotgun, it’s a little difficult to place the barrel into the holder, because the fit is very tight. You could get around this by cutting the foam with a utility knife. But the holder works easily for a smaller diameter rifle barrel.The strength of the magnet is adequate, but just barely when sticking it to a metal object. The holder also comes with a stick-on Velcro attachment.

Magnet is very strong and works well to protect my longer weapon.
