Reliable, accurate, and easy to use — exactly what you expect from Fluke
If you’re looking for a solid multimeter that strikes the right balance between professional-level accuracy and everyday usability, the Fluke 15B+ is a fantastic choice. I’ve been using it for various electrical projects and appliance work — and it hasn’t let me down. The build quality is what you'd expect from Fluke: solid, durable, and feels like it can stand up to regular use. The dial clicks confidently into each position, and the screen is large, clear, and easy to read even in less-than-ideal lighting. I also appreciate the fast response time — readings are stable and accurate without any lag or jumping numbers. In terms of functionality, this meter covers all the bases: AC/DC voltage up to 1000V, current up to 10A, plus resistance, continuity, diode testing, and capacitance. The continuity buzzer is loud enough to hear even in a noisy workspace, and the auto-ranging works reliably, which saves time and hassle.Overall, the 15B+ is a great value. It gives me confidence in my measurements and is simple enough to use for both professionals and serious DIYers. Highly recommended if you want a dependable, no-nonsense multimeter at a reasonable price point.

The right Fluke model for home/auto DIY amateurs
I needed to find a parasitic battery drain on one of my cars so spent half a day researching and chatting to Fluke customer service. The bottom line? For generalist amateur DIY folks who only use a multimeter occasionally, the 15B+ model is probably the right balance between precision, accuracy, features, capabilities and costs and will meet the majority of needs for auto and home.I had only previously used inexpensive multimeters, but have since learned that it’s ultimately less expensive to buy quality tools and simply more pleasant to use them. Hence Fluke rather than Klein or any of the many no-name devices. The 15B+ was only slightly more expensive that a comparable device from Klein, is well-built, works quickly and—although I haven’t benchmarked it against anything—seems to be accurate. It is definitely stable and consistent in its measurements. It did what I needed it for with my car. I’m looking forward to (occasionally) using it for the next couple of decades 😊.

Solid multimeter
So far so good. Works as good as my older Triplett I just wish it had the temperature sensor to check my fridge, freezers and HVAC temps. I appreciate the larger display but auto shutoff seems to take longer.

Good meter.
Same exceptional quality that I’ve learned to love over the years using fluke equipment. This one was well packaged, works great and has the same feel. Tested against other meters seems to spot on.

Great meter!
If you're looking for a meter to tackle most of what you can throw at it as an Auto Tech this is a good option. I would recommend this meter to anyone in between 1-10 years of experience. Whats good about it? It has all of the features you'll use (unless you're going really deep into certain areas of diagnosis), and it's wildly inexpensive for the quality that you're getting. I've had my pick of the litter when it comes to meters, and Fluke isn't overrated. One meter I would avoid is Klien. They make great hand tools, but look up how often their fuses blow (sheesh). If your looking for a meter that measures hertz or temperature this isn't for you but lets be honest, how often will you use these features. I bought this meter as a spare, using my 87v more, but I know one day someone will borrow my meter and bring it back with a fuse blown (mochanics), so this is perfect to keep around. If you'd like those other features, Flukes 17b goes on sale every once in a blue moon for just a little more than this meter.
