This is definitely stronger than liquid nail polish remover. It comes off easier with this, but still takes a bit of effort. It is definitely not something you just put on and then peel off the gel polish. Thus far, I have had to scrape it off.

If you get gel manicures or maybe you do them yourself, then you know how difficult it can be to get the polish off. In the past, I wasted countless hours trying to mimic what they do in the salon. I would literally cut up strips of tin foil, soak cotton balls in acetone, apply them to my nails, wrap them up in foil and wait, and wait, and wait. Then maybe 2/3 would come off. It was horrible. The cheat way would be to use a nail drill (or manually buff) which would only weaken my nails. Oh - then of course there was the, 'I bet I can peel this off' which does work as long as you don't mind having paper thin nails for the next 6 weeks. And then some genius invented this gel remover! Ladies - this makes a night and day difference. No more tin foil, acetone, or paper nails! Ok, all you have to do is lightly buff off the last coat of clear gel you applied (the top coat), then apply this remover and watch what happens. The gel starts to bubble up. Then grab a cuticle pusher, flat tweezer, or whatever instrument you have to scrape off the polish. It's absolutely amazing and it works so fast. When done, I lightly buff my natural nails to get off any remaining residue and then give them an oil treatment (use olive oil if you don't have a nail or cuticle oil). I wouldn't just recommend this - I'm saying you need this if you use gel polish!

If you file off the top coat first, this stuff works in about five minutes to take off your gel polish. (you might need two thick coats depending on how many layers of nail polish you have on). My only issue with this product is that it caused a reaction on my skin. I was very careful not to get it directly on my skin, however it still caused a rash and the skin to peel on my fingers around my cuticles. From what I have read, you can apply vaseline around your cuticles to help protect them, but that gets extremely messing and isnt a 100% fix. I do have very sensitive skin so its not completely the products fault. It works, and does what its supposed to, I just cant use it because of how harsh it is.

No issues with packaging or item. Does great with removing gel nail polish. Just don’t get it on your skin because it burns.

Start with one layer. Depending on how thick your manicure is you may need to reapply after a few minutes. I usually have base, 2 layers of color.”, sometimes a tip & a top coat. It usually takes me 3 applications of the gel remover to remove it all, but it takes WAY less time than anything else. Keep off your cuticles. File top coat lightly first. Scrape top layer off gently between applications so you don’t get the flakes in the bottle. Highly recommend for gel nail users!
