way sturdier than the cheap ones
Needed a solid electrical box for a wiring project in my place and this one is noticeably better quality than the flimsy ones at the hardware store. It feels really rigid and the screws lined up perfectly without me having to fight with them or anything. Definitely going back to Southwire for any future electrical work because the build quality is just on another level.

Very nice quality box- substituted for old-work, cut in...worked perfect
Very durable boxes, hard type plastic that isn't brittle. Rigid, durable boxes with plenty of interior room. Wire knockouts knock out easily and don't leave sharp edges to cut into romex and wire insulation like some of the other brand boxes are notorious for. Love the mounting means for the box. I could not locate a 5 gang cut-in box for old work anywhere online. Purchased this box with the sole purpose of modifying. Worked perfect with a little modification. Cut the mounting tabs off and was able to utilize this one to serve as an old-work box. The forward angular screw landings served me well. Furthermore, the tapped holes for the device screws are durable as well. These sections don't strip out like some of the other boxes on the market. Just a very nice, quality box.

Solid and easy to install
I've now bought three of these. My house, a 2020 new build, had the poorest mounted ceiling boxes I've seen, and this was not my first time installing a ceiling fan (or three). I love the metal plating supporting the box and the three angles screws ready to go into a ceiling joist. Can be a tight fit, but I use a rubber hammer to get it in. If you bought one and are wondering about the tabs to get your wires in, just punch out the narrow centre of the "V" with a flat head screw driver. The shape will hold you wires snuggly. I've tried the other solutions, including the adjustable rails, but this is the simplest and easiest solution to getting a fan ready box in place.....including one on a sloped (23*) ceiling.

A great box for life
Love it. This is a high quality box with lots of mounting options, all robust. It was easy to install and fit the area perfectly. Used it with existing wall board ("old work") and screwed it to the immediately adjacent stud. Since this is the 2-gang version, I used the included divider, as my box was 50% AC power (a power outlet) and 50% telecom (via a keystone decora style plate). I'd get another whenever installing a box in old work with an adjacent wood stud, as this box saves a lot of pain and is very solidly anchored.
