Schlage FB50 N G LAT 622 Single Cylinder Deadbolt and Keyed Entry Latitude Lever, Matte Black

Our handyman mentioned this brand and said these are the only locks he will use, I’m so glad! I feel much more secure with these deadbolts versus what we replaced. The handle is beautiful, sturdy and it’s so much easier to open our doors while our hands are full of groceries etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We've bought Schlage doorknob levers/deadbolt sets for decades. The last one purchased was about 8 years ago. We could see a decline in quality then, but it still worked about 5 good years on a high-use door. Once the door handle lock started seizing, we went for a long while using just the deadbolt.This purchase was its replacement, and we're so disappointed in the quality. The handle lever is shorter, much lighter in weight (has no heft anymore), and the little button lock feels fragile. I took the unit to my locksmith for re-keying. He's seen problems in Schlage quality too. If this door lever lockset lasts a few years, I'll be surprised. Next time, I'm done with cheap stuff that no longer uphold by quality. I'm going with full commercial grade purchased at the locksmith's place.

Instructions incorrect on installing bottom lock. Dead bolt plunger needs to face to outside of door frame. Otherwise works as should. Is well made, securely locks my security door. Finnish is without blemish. Fit in my security screen door using its predrilled screw and lock holes.

This item was described as “like new” so I assumed all the hardware and parts would be in the package but they were not. Also a piece came broken off so I had glue it and I hope it holds. Overall a not good or cheap purchase.
