I bought this to use for walking in the evenings during sunset. I didn't realize how bright these lights are! The LED will light up the entire road ahead of me, very impressive! The battery capacity is also fantastic, I walk for about five miles every day, and I usually have to recharge this headlamp once a week (I use a medium incandescent bulb brightness, not the LED most of the time). The lamp feels very heavy and well made overall and the buttons are large and easy to use with gloves on. For keeping your hands free, this is a fantastic quality product that I'm sure will last many years, and for less than the price a heavy, bulky flashlight!

Great headlamp. Super high quality. You can feel the difference right away from the plastic cheap headlamps. The battery life is good, water and dust proof, and it’s very bright. Doesn’t have the separate spot vs flood like the older model but both lights are a great balance of spot and flood. You do have the option of a warmer vs cooler light and that is really handy. Good level of lumens from 5 up to 1600. The headband is what makes this even better. Super comfortable and the dial to tighten or loosen is excellent. If you don’t need a red or green light this is one of the top headlamps you can get especially for the price

Very good headlamp I purchased a few of these for coworkers and they all have positive reviews when they come available again I will probably purchase another battery as long lasting and easy to charge. Highly recommend.

As an avid trail runner, I was looking for another headlamp to complement my old trusted Petzl Swift RL and the Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 is exactly what I wanted/needed. It isn't going to make me ditch the Petzl but the Fenix has become my main headlamp for running the trails at night, which I need to do during this winter season with the short sunlight hours and also during the summer when it's too hot to run during the days in SoCal where I live. For maximum amount of lighting, I also use the Flipbelt waist lamp in conjunction with the Flipbelt lighting near distance (5~10ft) and the headlamp lighting further ahead - generally 20~30 yards.The lighting is superb. The battery life is excellent. The fit adjustability is spot on and it is quite comfortable although it does feel noticeably heavier than the Petzl. I haven't had to use the warm white light yet as the weather has been clear and dry in SoCal, but I'm sure it'll come in handy one of these days. I'd highly recommend this to any trail runner who wants/needs to run in the dark. Having replaceable batteries handy is also another plus for the ultra races. This is one of the best trail running accessories I have ever purchased.
