Braided Polyester Rope (3/8 in x 100 ft) Arborist Climbing Rope for Tree Climbing Pulling Swing Sailing, Black/Fluorescent Green

TLDR: Amazing rope for making dog leads/short leashes!I need to start out with saying I used the rope to make short leads for dogs in a nonprofit. Not for climbing. I ordered the black/fluorescent green.Shipping was quick. I didn’t have much expectation due to my experience ordering many various brands of rope over the years on Amazon. So it obviously exceeded my expectations! The rope is actually great quality for my use.I did not count how many strands were actually in the core since that wasn’t important for my use. This rope does have at least 3 times the strands of the other brands I have ordered and used in the past. The rope is significantly more stiff than other ropes of its diameter, likely due to how many strands there are in the inner core.According to my caliper it is .36 inches or approximately 9.1mm. I typically order a 10mm rope, this feels thicker than the 10mm rope I usually use.It did not melt when I used a heat gun and shrink tubing around it to complete the leads. It looks stunning and I have high hopes that it will withstand even the largest dogs in our pack. It feels well made, sturdy, and was very reasonably priced.I will definitely buy again once I run out and will likely purchase at least one more color before then.

I've bought several of these types of ropes over the past two years. This rope is strong yet flexible with a tightly woven jacket. Highly recommend.

This is an easy-to-handle 3/8" rope that certainly appears to be well made. Right from the first use, it's relatively soft, flexible, and easy to knot. The static tensile strength is listed at 4300 lbs - that seems a little high to me for this size rope. Not that it matters too much; I use these ropes to help with felling trees, and I always use multiple redundant ropes to avoid accidents. This one will fit right in with my other 3/8" ropes.Very happy with the rope, and at the listed price, I feel it provides very good value.
