I used JB Weld to repair a broken hinge on my laptop, and honestly, I’m impressed. The hinge was separating from the plastic casing, and I was worried I'd have to replace the whole laptop or pay for an expensive repair. After some research, I gave JB Weld a shot — and it worked perfectly.The epoxy was easy to mix and apply, and it gave me enough working time to position everything just right. I let it cure overnight, and by the next day, the bond was rock solid. The hinge is holding up better than it did originally!

Got the job done. I do wish it was offered as just 1 instead of 2 packs because I only needed the one, and only needed a tiny bit so if a smaller size were offered that would be ideal; especially since these dry up and become useless over time. I do wish there were a way to preserve them between use, but anything that’s been opened and exposed to the slightest amount of air will eventually degrade they’ve given enough time.The adhesion provided by this is strong and unbreakable. No complaints.

I had put off fixing it, thinking I’d need to learn welding or hire someone. JB Weld KwikWeld turned out to be the perfect solution.Admittedly, my first attempt failed due to user error—I applied a generous amount but left it to cure outside on a cold, damp London winter’s day. The next morning, it was still soft and pliable, unable to hold the stool’s weight. I learned my lesson.For my second attempt, I applied another generous layer and let it cure indoors near a radiator, where it was warm and dry. The difference was night and day. By the next morning, the epoxy had set into a shiny, solid material that resembled something between metal and plastic. I gave it an additional 72 hours to ensure maximum strength.When I reassembled the stool, I was amazed. The bond was rock solid—no wobbling, no signs of weakness. I even filed it down to create a perfectly flush connection before tightening the screws. Used to repair the broken concrete/marble base of a bronze sculpture. So far so good. Not too messy. INcluded a built in tray in the package for mixing and a stir stick. Also a cap to seal the unused epoxy. Will see how that worked the next time I use this.

Ich habe den Kleber benutzt, um einen Handlauf einer Treppe an einer Steinwand zu befestigen. Der Handlauf war inklusive Dübel aus der Wand gerissen. Ich habe den Kleber in die Löcher gegeben und den Handlauf samt Dübel wieder in die Löcher gesteckt. Nach einem Tag mit Fixierung des Handlaufs war alles bombenfest.
