knife will not stay in with just the friction of the holster- so i can't use it
Knife stayed in to begin with but then the friction fit loosened and i couldn't count on it. So, I put it aside and bout a more positive scabbard and retention system.

It's my fault for not reading the details carefully. The item is nice, but it's worthless if the knife is sold with the holster. Additionally, all the other knives I purchased are too pointy and have poked through the leather. They definitely need to take better pictures without the knife in the holster In the advertisement picture.

Exactly what I was hoping for (NEGATIVE UPDATE)
I needed a sheath to carry a small fixed blade and this was exactly what I was looking for. Nice quality and good fit. Comfortable to wear on the small of my back all day/every day.UPDATE: After wearing this on my belt for a week it is starting to fall apart. I’m going to have to purchase some new thread and rethread it myself. Whatever they used to thread it is weak and breaks easily from light wear. The quality of the leather is also questionable and I don’t expect it to last very long. This is unfortunate.
