These are so perfect for my needs. I am fermenting lemons, garlic and ginger in honey for friends. This was a great buy.What I love:-- They were packaged really well for shipping. Not one jar was damaged. Everything was very neatly organized in the box.-- Not only are labels included, but so are some tags and twine to attach them to the jars. The labels are decorative and lovely.-- These came with both split type lids and regular lids. After I finish fermenting the herbs and fruit, I will keep the split type lids for my other jars and use the regular lids when I gift the items.-- The beveled glass adds such a nice touch. When I gave my SIL a jar of lemons in honey, the first thing she noticed was the jewel-like glass jar.-- The lids all fit very tightly, just as I'd hoped. When fermenting, you don't want any leakage. The regular (1-piece) lids also fit securely.There is nothing I don't like about these. As a matter of fact, once I saw them, I immediately ordered some of the 8-ounce jars. They are just as nice.

These many 4 ounce jars are the perfect size for a gift or if you want to pack a small jar of jam or candy or other things I specifically bought these jars because I wanted to make some table keepsakes for my daughters party and they were absolutely a hit. They were adequate size and what I was able to feel just the right amount of candy inside and you can see how creative I got with it in the pictures. They are sturdy and they are strong and you would be happy with your selection. I’m sure.

I needed these right away and they came early afternoon the next day! I made lemon curd for easter gifts and these are perfect! The outside of the jars have the design, there are extra lids and seals, plus gift tags with string to tie them. On top of all that, stickers are included for a design on the top. Great deal!

Really a 4.5 star review, they're pretty nice, only a few minor observations, and are exactly what I need.They're smaller than I expected (description says 4oz, which is accurate, but that didn't register. I've never seen mason jars this small before).They were packed well in foam, however, I accidentally scratched some of the stickers when I opened the Amazon box. So be careful how you open it, they put the stickers as the top most item in the box. Not a factor for me, I won't be using the stickers. The foam seemed solid and there shouldn't be any breakage issues.They're smaller than I expected, small than any other mason jar I've seen previously. The smallest one I have is 1 cup, these are 1/2 cup. I've included a pic of: These, my 1 cup jars, and I guess a pint jar. 1 quart are the medium sized mason jars that you see everywhere.At first they seemed thinner than mason jars, but the more I look at them, the more I'm sure they're basically the same thickness.As a quick test I poured boiling water into a couple of them and they held no programs, no cracking or breaking, etc. I did not test them in the freezer, not sure actual mason jars are supposed to be put in the freezer.These came with a full set of canning (2-piece) lids AND a full set of regular screw top lids. That seems a little overkill to me, but it's nice; far better than not having enough of the right kind of lid. Also included was a little batch of twine, 'with love' gift tags, and decorative stickers to go on top the jar.There were a couple observations, but they're all pretty minor. The canning lids, the top flat piece, seems slightly a different size than my other jars. Maybe the lid itself is a little off-sized as well. The lids from my regular jars seem to have a slight little wiggle on them when used with these jars, and these canning lids seem to fit very snugly on my other mason jars.The main reason I got these was because I wanted to use them with my vacuum sealer. To seal things that I don't use very often- spices, certain teas, etc. I have two sealers, one a Food Saver with the hose attachment and attachments for large and small mouth mason jars, and a little stand-alone jar sealer that I got here off Amazon. These fit into my sealers no problem at all.However, once in a while it seems that the seal isn't very tight. It takes just a little pressure to pry the seal off. And, at other times, it seals very tightly and requires a firm pry to get off. I don't see this as a major issue, I think 'sealed is sealed'. And again, it's only once in a while, as often as not they seal as tightly as my other jars. But this is something I've never noticed with any of my other jars previously.So functionally they're interchangeable with my other jars and lids, and work easily with my vacuum sealer. And for the price ($7.99), I'm happy with this purchase.
