BLU LIFE PLAY 2 L170A REVIEW
I'm updating from a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830M so obviously the difference between both is really big, but being objective, the Blu Life Play 2 L170A is really great, it's very fast, really well built, it has a nice design and the best of all, its price, this phone is what I was looking for when I decided to replace my old phone. The only thing I miss from my old S5830M is the hard button to wake it up, the Blu Life Play 2 doesn't have a hard button, the power button must be pressed to wake up the phone but I can live with that. I would like too that it had more internal memory (you will have only a little more than 4GB for apps, music, photos, etc) but a MicroSD card will fix this. The phone is dual SIM, one micro SIM and one normal SIM. The battery life is really good, I tested it without the SIM cards but with all my social networks apps, emails, ocassional videos and music and it lasted almost 12 hours (not using it continously). It is included in the box a screen protector that you must apply and a plastic cover case (that doesn't offer a true protection to the screen). It comes with Android 4.4.2 and it will update the firmware after a few minutes out of the box. The touch screen works good, is responsive, the phone can play HD videos (but the screen resolution is not HD, so the videos will not look as good as in a S4 or S5), the sound is normal, the earphones included are not great (but this is normal in most of the phones you can buy nowadays), the camera is really fast and it can take great pictures (even in dark places), and for last but not least, the price is more than fair for a phone like this. If you want an up to date phone but you can't or don't want to spend a lot of money for it, I recommend this phone.

Excellent product at its price
Excellent product at its price. Phone came with a hard-plastic back cover (non-flip), and screen protector, as well as ear plug, charger. Android 4.4. About 1G RAM (system shows 650M used and 350M available, not quite understand why it uses this much RAM even without any additional apps installed other than manufacture installed apps. My previous phone only uses 350M RAM with Android 4.2). 2 SIM slots, unlocked, one mini (big one) and one Micro (small). With the partition, about 4G for ROM. Slot for extendable Micro SD to 32G. Screen resolution is excellent. Camera good, but the speaker only decent. I must mention, the way to open back cover for this phone is DIFFERENT!!! It might be patented, and better than other phone back covers, but for those first time having this type of back cover, it could take a long time to figure out how to open the back cover - it is a flexible, click less type plastic cover. It almost serves as another layer of case protector for the phone. There is a two-line instruction on the back showing you how to open, but it only makes sense after you finally figure out how to open. Another thing is, unlike previous Android or iPhone, for this phone, you slide DOWN to answer and UP to decline, and stupidly, when phone rings, lower screen shows "slide to answer", upper screen shows "slide to decline". No idea WHICH direction you should slide! You only understand what it means when you finally figure it out.Over all, as someone already said, pay 15% of iPhone price, get 85% as good as iPhone. Moreover, it is Android not iOS. Great Choice.

REALLY IMPRESSED WITH UNDERDOG PHONE. GREAT BUY SO FAR.
Ok. I have only had for 3 days and I will update as i use it. First impressions are good. It is lighting fast and the touch screen is responsive. I am using it on Consumer Cellular with no issues. Everything works. The screen is gorgeous and the camera is good enough for my needs. The photos are clear with little noise or grain. The colors come out true to life. The videos are also very good but no image stabilization if that is important for you. The battery has lasted 15 hours and is still charged with moderate use no gaming. The GPS locks quickly and is as accurate as my motorola dx2 which has a great GPS chip in it. It is within 20 feet which isn't bad.I love the scheduled phone off/on and airplane on/off and the included RAM booster. Nice touches on a sub 200 phone. The speaker is loud if that is important to you but very tinny. I never use speakerphone so no big deal to me.NOW FOR ISSUES: At first music sounded horrible. Not every headphone works with this phone. I had hoped BLU fixed this but they have not it appears. My Panasonics do not work well. No bass. But they have bass with my old Motorola. However, my hand me down earphones from my mother's iPhone 5 do work and sound great. Bluetooth sounds great either way. YOU DO NEED TO INSTALL MUSIC FX app from the app store. The only EQ on this phone resides in their music app which is DTS so they say. It is worthless and it does not work with any other program and sounds bad even with their program. None of the other EQs seem to be completely compatible. My favorite EQ by Smart Android is buggy, maybe it will work after an update. Music sounds natural and warm with no over-processing as long as you find a pair of earphones that work or you use bluetooth and you install MUSIC FX.I was hesitant to buy this over the MOTO G, but right now i feel i made the right choice for me (based on specs and price) and I love the pink color. The Moto G while has a better rep just left me feeling kinda blah. This phone is fun to use so far.

This phone is only $80?!
I just received this phone yesterday, but so far ,so good. You wouldn't believe this phone is only $80. It works just as well as my old iPhone, only much cheaper. The only downside is the camera isn't the greatest, but it's still decent for day to to day photos of the kids, friends, etc.I am using it with Koodo, and the sim card fit perfectly. It started up easily and continues to work fine. No issues thus far and hopefully it stays that way. It's also super cute, the hot pink is very attractive, and it comes with a clear case, screen protector (which is a hard plastic one, I won't use,) headphones and even a screen cleaner. A great value!

Bell and Roger's
I am using this phone with a Bell Account and a Roger's account in Canada. It works well. The only issue I have is getting the hot spot to work...I can connect to the phone but it doesn't give internet access from the phone. I had this issue with a windows phone previously and a patch worked, however I have not found a fix for this yet. Also, it did not come with KitKat, it has JellyBean

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE
This phone has malware pre-installed on it, and it cannot be removed via uninstall. The manufacturer BLU has sold upwards of 120,000 phones affected with malware (after a quick Google), which is unfortunate because if not for that, it would be a pretty sweet phone.
