A rugged case that converts into an incredibly versatile stand
Can't recommend this product highly enough; it's exactly what I'd been looking for, but didn't know existed. It's brilliantly designed, well-made, rugged, attractive (in a rugged sort of way), protective, and best of all it allows you to mount your iPad at a really comprehensive variety of angles, in both portrait and landscape orientation. Perfect! I've only had it for a couple of months so I can't speak to its durability, but given the build quality I'm not anticipating having to replace it any time soon.

Nothing short of genius!
I am absolutely delighted with this case. So much thought has gone into it’s design. It is sturdy, versatile and innovative. The iPad sits snuggly in a separate case which just covers the back. A bit of an effort to click it in place but once it is in it is not going to fall out and I can see no reason why it would ever need to be removed once in (though obviously it can be if necessary). The iPad in its case then magnetically attaches to the outer case which closes over it. The magnet is strong and keeps it very securely in place and the closure is snug and does not veer off to one side. The pencil is held equally securely in a slot at the top where it engages with the iPad’s pencil storage magnet so is easily accessible and charges up when in place. I love also that the case also has a little stretchy sleeve on the back where the pencil can be be stowed safely if it isn’t going to be used for a while… good for when transporting the iPad in a backpack or bag. The tilt mechanism is nothing short of genius. There is not one but two flaps at the back, a long and a short one, so that the iPad can be tilted in many different positions from upright to very low for writing and drawing. So many stands are limited in this aspect. The profile of these stands are so integrated that I thought I had been sent a case without them. You would never know they are there and I had to look at the box illustrations to locate them. Once found and played with for a while to get the hang of them, they are indispensable and they hold strongly to whatever position they are put in. I really love that I can detach the iPad and turn it around so I can view in portrait mode. It’s the first time I have come across a case that allows this. I sometimes like to draw in my sketchbook from a photo so I can now draw from a portrait photo without having to awkwardly prop the device up on something. So easy to turn it around on the stand and it stays put. I suppose the only drawback I can think of is that the double layer of casing and all those strong magnets does add a fair bit of weight and bulk to a device that is ultra thin and lightweight so I probably wouldn’t want to carry it around in my handbag. But I use it mostly at home or in some other static place so it is not a problem for me. It provides me with a really sturdy robust platform (no wobble at all) to draw, write and view. I liken it to a mini writing/drawing desk. In conclusion.. This would probably not suit someone who requires a sleek lightweight cover in keeping with the paper thin design of the iPad and which would be more suitable for carrying around. However, if it is not destined to travel around on a daily basis and a robust workstation is preferred then, honestly, look no further. For me, it makes using my new iPad Pro such a pleasure! Oh and I chose the grey one because at time of purchase there was a promotion on that colour which didn’t show up until I got to the check out. I paid a lot less for it than I would have for the other colours. It is a pale grey which I like very much.

Good and solid, but heavy
I often need to use the iPad in portrait, which was difficult with other cases but works well with this one. If you want the charging point at the top when in portrait, you just have to place it to one side of the case otherwise you have to have the charging point at the bottom. It is much heavier than previous cases - fine for home but too heavy for travelling. However, I prefer it to my previous cases as the magnets hold the iPad securely in position.

Brilliant versatile case, bit heavy
Love this for my iPad. It's a tad heavy to hold but lo and behold - the silicon case detaches from the rest of it. Supports magnetic charging for the Apple pencil but also has a secure pocket in the back for transit. Very stable in all positions but personally I wouldn't put it in the highest one.

But this case!
Must buy! I bought this for my iPad Air 13inch M4. Hands down the best iPad case, I initially bought apples Magic Keyboard but upon opening and realising it could not be folded back on itself to lay flat to facilitate note taking I returned it. I then got apples folio case and had this for less than 24 hours it was far too flimsy and was terrible all round. I then see this case on a YouTube video for half the price of an apple folio and I cannot praise this case highly enough it is fantastic! Excellent value for money feels sturdy. I cannot speak to the durability as I’ve only had it for 24 hours but in my opinion it seems a robust case. This case will be perfect if you wish to use as a supportive stand to watch videos, lay down to note take & overall protection of your iPad. The size fits my iPad Air 13inch perfectly.

Nothing like it at this price!
So happy I bought this case. You will not find anything quite this practical and versatile for this price. It’s very sturdy in every position, time will testify of quality but at present (2 weeks of usage) the quality seems great. It ticks every box for me. I agree with others that it is weighty, but this is no problem for me as I don’t carry it around, or out of the house. I find that the weight actually makes it feel more stable. The magnets are strong so all positions function really well. Love the handy little pen pocket, all the holes are spot on, the casing itself sits tightly on the iPad so no risk at all of it falling out. I managed to get mine at a reduced price of just over £40 as they had a returned one available, but would happily pay the full price in the future for how good a case it is. Love the brown colour too, looks smart. Very happy customer.

Procreate artists beware.
This is a great, solid, case with plenty of decent viewing angles available. The actual case that the iPad sits snugly within attaches to the stand by a very strong magnet. For me, unfortunately this magnet caused a significant delay/lag in a line drawn and the tip of the Apple Pencil Pro. When working at speed - cross hatching, say - the line did not appear at all. It also caused some gesture controls to behave erratically: the double tap wouldn't work and sometimes it would just activate features that were not wanted - a sudden appearance of the eye-dropper or the cut and paste menu, sometimes a delete of the last move as with the two fingered tap. I had, and still have, a Bellemond screen protector on the iPad. It's similar to Paperlike. I thought this might be the problem, although I've never experienced it before. I lifted a corner of the cover and tried the Apple Pencil Pro directly onto the screen and the lag was still evident. Then I tried the pencil in the Notes App through the screen protector and it worked fine. I got in touch with Procreate help and they sent me a list of things to try and ended by saying it is usually the screen protector or a magnetic case that is the problem. I felt despondent, slept on things and when i went to try and fix things on the iPad the following morning the problem had vanished!! I told Procreate Help and we were all overjoyed by this divine intervention and full of love for each other and the universe. The very next day the glitches came back. Then corrected themselves again, and the divine intervention seemed to become divine-taking-the-piss. Especially as everything went bonkers again. I ran through all the Pro Help's suggestions and it was only the removal of the iPad from the magnetic stand then putting it back that got rid of the erratic behaviour. This procedure was not always required, sometimes the pen and pad worked fine, other times i had to separate the two. Very frustrating. On balance I thought i don't want to be doing this, i want to just open up my iPad case and get to work. So I've returned this ESR. It's a shame because, as stated, it's a well made case; you could be confident if you're the harum-scarum type and/or always on the move, and your stuff takes a bit of a battering. What's really annoying about this anomaly of the case causing Procreate and the Apple Pencil Pro to 'misfire' is that it didn't happen all the time. It's tricky because I want to give a fair review and also make Procreate artists aware of a possible issue they might face with this collection of kit. I suspect it may have little to do with the App or iPad. As Apple Pencils become evermore sophisticated, there will always be problems with their performance when close to strong magnets. But what do I know - I have the technical knowledge of a baboon. Ho hey! If ESR make one of these without the removable magnetic case feature, if it was all one piece, I'd buy it.

Amazon i love you.

Best iPad case ever used.
One of the best iPad case I have ever used. The magnets are strong enough to hold the iPad on a metal surface. It’s got every viewing ankle possible to thing. You can use the case as standalone and carry the iPad handy with full protection. The pencil charging is also working even with the case on.
