Eucalyptus 43 Inch Round Folding Deck Table

I guess what surprised me the most, is that there was no assembling to do. The table arrives folded in the carton. Bring the leaves up, and voilà! The table looks great in my Mediterranean garden. It is sturdy and has a solid feel to it. It also has two holes to hold an umbrella, so no need for an umbrella stand. There is a screw at the bottom hole to pin the umbrella pole against the table. The only minus is, that screw does a poor job and tends to slip sideways. I suggest putting a rubber gasket or a small piece of flat wood between the screw end and the umbrella pole.

This table is AWESOME! Looks like teak, for less than half the price. Environmentally friendly plantation-grown eucalyptus. Apply linseed oil once a year and it will last a lifetime. Folds up for winter storage, or you can just drop one side and push it against a wall or fence for a nice half-table. Umbrella hole in the center. You could even use it indoors. Pair with eucalyptus chairs from same mfr for a nice coordinated look on your patio. Seats 4 comfortably, but compact enough for a townhouse patio or small deck.

This is table is very smartly designed, how one or both sides can fold down. We live in the city with a very small deck and most outdoor patio furniture seems to be designed for huge houses out in far flung suburbs (why is that??). Go to Home Depot and most of the furniture there would swallow our entire deck. I have this table half open and plan to put flowers or a lantern on the top. It is easy to quickly open up each side of the table, and I expect it to be painless to open the other half if we all want to eat lunch outside. Also I like that this completely folds down to a fairly narrow profile and I plan to store it inside in the winter to keep it better maintained. The quality is very nice... it is so nice I now I wish the wood on our deck was nicer! Looking forward to using it this summer. Even my husband had positive comments. Honestly I would give it 5 stars but we haven't eaten on it yet.

Time will tell how this table holds up, but so far, it gets five stars. It's a "million dollar baby at the five and ten cent store" - beautiful enough to cost hundreds of dollars and, at the price we paid - a bargain. We bought it because we want to fold it up and store it in the garage during the winter, and since setting it up was simple, we know that closing it will be easy. It seats four, but getting six chairs around the table is no problem. The wood is beautiful and the look is perfect. One warning: don't oil it on a new patio! When the oil drips, the pavers are stained. . . Bottom line: price was right, upkeep is simple; the look is elegant; you can't go wrong.

The table came extremely well-packaged and once out of the box, it was fully assembled and ready to use! It fits nicely in our small patio. As instructed, I gave it several coats of teak oil. Some of the reviews indicated that the table was wobbly, however, this is not the case with the table we received. It is very sturdy. I really like the gate legs that enable us to fold the table up for easy storage over the winter.

elegant looking, but way! to flimsy. the table twists very easily, & if someone stumbles on it or a leg, will break easily. if cared for, yes, nice deck furniture, but would never have bought if i realized how unstable it is. also....do not even lightly sand the top before treating with teak oil as it has been lightly stained & blemish will easily show. the furniture maker could easily have made more robust legs & still retained the folding features. do not get this table if you anticipate any kind of an accidental run in whatsoever. i consider the construction flawed...

The 43 inch table I ordered arrived as a 48 inch round which I had already unpacked before I realized it was larger than expected. I wasn't particularly upset as I wanted a smaller table for my sunroom but the slightly larger one still fits the room (and is a really beautiful table). I asked what had happened and the Home Sensibles representative apologized and said they stock both and the wrong one had been shipped by mistake. She offered to exchange the 48" for a 43" but I thanked her and said we'd just keep the one we got. Getting it packed up and re-boxed was more trouble to me than it was worth. I strongly recommend checking the size on the box BEFORE you unpack it if the smaller size is important to you. I was impressed by how quickly she responded and by how willing they were to replace it. I would certainly buy from this seller again as it sounded like this doesn't happen often and they were quick to offer a solution. Moreover, the table is excellent quality and very attractive. In the end I was really very happy with both the table and the seller.

Solid, well made, good for the money. Does need oiling when new.
