Works like a charm.
I inserted the 2 batteries and all functions on the remote work fine with my old Insignia TV. Nothing to program or enter codes like what you normally see for Universal remotes.

buttons on remote hard to push
I bought this because the buttons on my Fire TV remote had become unresponsive. This remote, brand new, was no better. Literally made my thumb sore from mashing so hard on the buttons. Unfortunately, this is the only type of remote available (that I know of) for Fire products. My solution, I bought a Roku TV.
