EISCO's "power pack" is a low voltage power supply that operates on 110V power and outputs 6 or 12V at 2 Amp either AC or DC

Not bad - DC voltage not super precise though
This is a solid little simple device. Two voltages and supports DC and AC. It was surprisingly hard to find something that supported both and wasn't extremely pricey. It works well enough, the 6V DC isn't the most accurate though, usually reads around 7.5V on my multimeter and the 12V comes in around 13V on my multimeter. Goes up to 2A max.I wouldn't expect precision from this thing but it's great for learning at low cost.EDIT: The 2A max doesn't appear to be a real limit and as far as I can tell it doesn't have short protection. I was just able to pull 8A thru it on an electromagnet project I am working on.

Unfortunately, doesn't work.
Purchased one just like it a couple of years ago and it works fine. Perhaps just defective? Would like a replacement.
