I made a swivel for a 40" lcd tv. I screwed it to the top AND the bottom piece of wood attaching it to the bottom piece of wood, then by lining up holes through the bottom that were big enough to get a screwdriver through to attach it to the top piece of wood. Someone was just going to throw away a piece of 3/4 inch plywood so no money spent there. Anyone building stuff please always just check your neighborhood since people waste so much or check Freecycle or Craiglist or a place like Building Value (they salvage everything from demolished buildings and then sell it and the money goes to help people, so it's good in all ways).If you make a tv swivel or for anything else make sure it's sturdy and/or has supports of some sort. I have a wire attached to the back of the tv running up to the ceiling, some people may not want that but I care more about being safe than caring what people think.I have it for a monitor for my music recording programs in the computer and studio, then can swivel it around and watch tv or have it there facing the other way for singers or musicians to follow what they are adding to a song.Peace.

Julia Child used one just like this. Since I don't own a revolving cake stand, this does the job perfectly for a lot less money. It's very heavy duty and stand on its side in the baking-pan drawer so space for it is minimal. Wonderful product. I'll bet the manufacturer never thought to market this as a cake-stand turner.

Item did not come with directions how to install. Once i went to the internet & got it installed pretty easily. I'm happy with it as it's sturdy and great for the project I needed it for.

I’ve purchased this brand and a few others. These spin better than others I have had. Bought more because of that.

Appears to be sturdy and well made but I thought it would spin easier.

I am an artist and I made a sculpture that needed to rotate in the wind. I searched boating chair swivels, bar stool swivels, but they were just not free moving enough. I read some other comments about how this one was quick to spin. This was perfect. I purchased two, one from here and one from another seller, just in case this one didn’t work. This is the one I used. My only concern now, is the metal is not rust proof. I guess not many Lazy Susan’s run into water hazards. So this not an outside item but with a little rustoleum, you can make it work fine. It holds plenty of weight (mine is holding 25lbs) and still functions level and smooth. Excellent for the price. Wish I would have found this first. I'll be back!

Technically, my husband should review these since he used them to make turntables to fit a corner of each of our pantry shelves. There were no real instructions so there was some question about exactly how to affix them properly but he worked that out in short order and they work beautifully--very smooth, balanced, and so forth. Very happy with the value and usability for our needs.

We used it under the base of a 47 inch tv so. Built a half wall in basement so tv would block exercise equipment and we can swivel easily to watch from sofa or swing around and watch while on exercise equipment.
