I LOVED EVERYTHING about it. Beautiful craft workmanship. As a craft collector with literally no place to store or display more, it regretfully had to be returned. The REASON was, it was purchased for masonbees..........but then I watched OVER AN HOUR of how to take care of the HOUSE....and it was an astronomical amount of time and effort...on the PC it was detailed, and expertly, and lovingly, demonstrated, how to SAVE MASON BEES. Literally I would have kept it, but have no storage, & my craftyhome does not really go in that vibe, walls are "stuffed". Hopefully I can buy one again in & for a larger home. 7-27-24

It broke in half within 2 weeks - I had to figure out how to tie the heart together with bee inside

I’ve long been wanting to add a Mason bee house to our garden. We have a somewhat naturalized area that is similar to a wildlife refuge, so anything that can help promote pollinators and bee populations is super important.This particular house is actually quite large and a bit heavy. It has many tubes inside a wood frame that has been coated with what looks like cedar bark.The heart shape is very pleasant and the tubes are made from bamboo. There is a sturdy rope hanger.I think it looks as though it will be quite functional when I hang it up in the spring. However, there were a couple of issues with the one I received.Several of the bamboo tubes basically fell out when I was just inspecting the house. I may use a wood glue to secure them. Also a part of the frame has a crack in it. I’m reluctant to use this as a gift for anyone because of these flaws.I also thought there was a pheromone or attractant that came with Mason bee houses, but this one did not have any provided. Just an FYI if you are gifting this..: you’ll have to purchase that separately.

It is beautiful but after being outside for a couple of weeks, noticed that the wood broke in multiple places and will have to glue and nail/staple to put it back out.

The media could not be loaded. This is larger than I expected and has a few loose pieces. The build quality could be more robust but for a backyard piece I am overall even more satisfied with the organic look and functionality.For me the value for money is there as it adds an aesthetic touch while providing a home to my local invertibrates. All thats required for assembly is to hang it up.I am not sure how weatherproof it is but I am hoping that some moisture will tighten the reeds better in place.
