WWE has me Happy.
I'm a casual gamer and a slight wrestling fan of my own interest. And Straight forward have to admit this WWE game is definitely worth a darn good time. Since i was a child I liked wrestling in the sense of free style fighting, even if it is staged. But with this game it feels as if you're truly witnessing the action by ringside. I've been a long time player of WWE games, personally from my days of "Day of Reckoning" 1 & 2. And the Smackdown vs. Raw series. I've had the chance to play them, and WWE '12, but choosing WWE '13 I've truly got my money's worth. -The Game play is smooth, the A.I's are quick at times even on normal, but I ain't a noob, I've played on Legend and it's everything I've truly wanted, a challenge that made me curse at my own skills. -The attitude era delivers enormous amount of unlockables in game, and is quite lengthy in a good way, due to historical objectives, but for a more accurate match that makes every match worth a fan or players' time. -The announcers are vague in what occurs but i don't mind, as the wrestling is what matters. -The Roster is great because most of the stars from the 90's and current wrestlers can be played. -WWE universe is back but i don't care much, I'm sure it's great for managing type players looking tp create their own unique version of the WWE show lineup matches. In all do respect this game deserve's a 4.5 rating but I'll give a 5 because it delivers a history many fans will love to rejoice in, and I don't care what anyone ever says, wrestling will always be a kick@$$ game to play and watch. (I recommend for co op players, wrestling fans, and challenge seekers, looking to button match and grapple the hell out of an A.I.)

Fair Warning...
I placed the order for this game nearly a week ago...and it still has not even shipped. Now patience is a virtue, but just understand that ordering games (this is the 2nd game purchase and 2nd delay) from Amazon means a week and a half-two weeks before you will receive your game. I've ordered many non-video game items from Amazon and without fail the item ships withing 24 hours, so I'm flummoxed as to why an item can be listed as in stock, directly from Amazon, and yet for some reason video game orders take a week just to be processed. That being said I have played the game elsewhere and it is a lot of fun. So many cool features to take up plenty of time. The one request I might have for next year may be a little too insider, but wrestling is a performance art and yet WWE games present it as a legit fight. It would be cool if you could take a show, book it, and then pick which characters to control. You execute your offense and you decide when your opponent takes over, when to sell, when to feed him, when you come back, how many momentum shifts, near falls, and the pace. Essentially you get to call the match within an allotted time frame, then afterwards the match receives a rating. I don't know how much widespread appeal this would have...but I'd love it.

Wanted so bad for weeks
My stepson ranted about this game. Wanted so bad for weeks. His birthday came up and no one got it for him. His mom is anti video game, and we decided it was time to do a cell phone at 11. He seemed slightly saddened by not having it. In just curious why in 2017 with a boy who can't play video games most the month while at mom's is obsessing over a 4 year old wwe game. This kid is not a wild wrestling fan either? So I read the crud outta reviews and couldn't find anything harmful about it. So when his grandma gave him some cash after his birthday I reminded him about the game he was wanting. Jumped on that band wagon. Then asked me about it constantly. Finally got the game, because it wasn't prime so it took a week. And the kid loves it. I guess it's a good game.

There i only 1 strategy to this game - reversals
The attitude era history lesson is cool, too bad the rest of the gameplay doesn't live up. This game hinges 100% around a single concept - reversals. Want to do a move, it will likely be reversed. Want to reverse the computers move, you can *if* you invest *a ton* of time learning just when to press the reversal button. Unfortunately this makes the game infuriatingly hard until you learn the reversal timing, at which point it becomes too easy since you can reverse everything. There is no middle enjoyable ground. There are some other complaints but none so large as the reversal issue since the gameplay hinges around this. Poor design and it fails the only real point of a game - it isn't fun and doesn't entertain. Having played *many* wrestling games through the years I'd grade this a F on gameplay.

A Must For Every WWE Fan Old & New
So i was able to get this when Amazon had it on sale for $30. At that price i was sure not to be let down had i not liked the game, like WWE 12, which for some reason came off as too big of a change with very little payoff. The main selling point to me, much like many others was the Attitude Era, which hands down is the greatest feature ever put into a WWE game. Being able to relive all the moments i remember from my childhood, the classic matches, incredible moments, and all the characters in between. (Not to mention they show stock video footage as you progress, heck they show more in this game than the WWE Attitude Era dvd recently put out). There were times when i was jumping up and down with excitement like i did all those years ago, the same excitement i would get from playing old classic THQ games No Mercy and Wrestlemainia 2000 for Nintendo 64. The entrances are great, still some issues with commentary and crowd noise, maybe not as noticeable without surround sound, but a minor flaw to say the least. The roster is impressive, but with some of the characters missing, does disappoint, the DLC packs do help a bit with adding a few of the up and coming talent but with THQ going bankrupt dont expect to see any additional content to be released. Having said that creating superstars or using the online community to download other created superstars is very impressive to give you those must have superstars not in the game. For what i paid i am very happy with the game, and is a great step up for WWE 12. Dont know what will happen going forward, but this was a game to put THQ out on a high note.

Awesome Game!
I haven't bought a wrestling game since Smackdown: Know Your Role, also around the time I stopped watching wrestling altogether. So why did I buy it? Simply because of the "Attitude Era" game play and characters! It really brought me back, and the historical matches were fun to play (I noticed some smug purist, say certain elements weren't authentic, but really?) and quite challenging! So that feature definitely didn't disappoint! Also, wanted to comment about the graphics! Awesome graphics, sweat, facial expressions, blood, pyro, and everything else! (I can't really compare to earlier WWE games, but they were a whole new experience from playing Smackdown for PS2, THAT'S FO SURE!) Another aspect that I can appreciate was the high customizable ranges you have in terms of superstars, belts, even entrances! Blew me away! So, if you're a wrestling fan, even from back in the day like myself, you'd really appreciate and like playing this game!

Attitude Mode: Reliving Childhood
I haven't purchased a wrestling game since Smackdown 2 back on the PS1. Then I saw this game, and I'm not very familiar with all the new faces, as I don't watch wrestling like I used to, but was caught up with the prospect of Attitude Mode. Not only did I get to go through those old matches, but the ability to have so many created or downloaded Superstars, I filled up pages of roster with old WCW, classic WWF, and even a few ECW favorites of time passed. This game is really fun, the creative modes are great, and the Universe mode can literally suck you in for hours. You get to be the GM, calling the matches, setting the cards, drafting superstars from one brand to another, making new weekly shows and PPVs. Overall, wether you're a current wrestling fan, or a fan from the "good ol' days," This game is worth it.
