depends what you want it for
i bought it because i like to throw knives. i never had any intention of sharpening it. if you want a knife to use as a knife, there are better options. if you like to throw large blades that have weight, this knife is great for that

Rusted before I even used it.
I left this in its sheath for no more than 2-3 weeks and when I took it out the whole blade was covered in orange rust. Not even going to bother bringing it camping as intended. Probably won’t ever use it.

Nice dagger
Clean design, sharp blade, and solid construction. It feels balanced and reliable, making it great for both display and practical use. A must have for anyone who appreciates quality craftsmanship.

Probably not even heat treated.
The blade chipped and snapped on first use. Steel is very weak. Handle is not fit properly. Sheath is thin, dry and weak and it feels and looks like layers of paper, not leather. All around this knife gets a zero.

Pleasant surprise, better than expected
The media could not be loaded. This was quite a surprise. I wasn't sure if it was going to be purely a decorative or novelty piece, but no, this is a totally legit dagger. It's a nice weight and feels sturdy. It arrives very sharp. They call it a Damascus knife, but this is indeed full tang (Damascus knives generally are not).It arrived with tons of oil - a nice precaution, but it's also kindof smelly. You'll want to open it outdoors and wipe it down really well.Someone said theirs arrived dull, but mine arrived razor sharp as promised. The blade is 12C27 steel, which is a traditional steel designed by the Swedes specifically for blades. They commonly make razor blades out of it, due to its strength and ability to hold a nice edge. It's reasonably resistant to rust and corrosion, but you should keep it oiled.Of course there are still unknowns about the steel - the forging method is just as important as the type of steel, which is why trusted name brand knives are always superior to generic. The handle (micarta) is a durable composite material, with a realistic looking wood finish. It's not ABS plastic. There were some complaints about the sheath, but mine was great - a durable leather.
