Backyard Fairies

one of our staples since it’s release, backyard fairies is a sweet story about a girls quest to find the fairies around her, whilst unknowingly to her, they may be closer than she think. we adore all things by Phoebe! airs an excellent book to gift to friends with young ones, and cannot recommend it enough for spring reading

This book sparks the imagination in my young granddaughters. The illustrations are charming. I have purchased two copies for gifts and would not hesitate to purchase more as the occasion arises. Truly a wonderful book!

This is a nice book with lovely illustrations. It's a bit abstract for younger ones (2 to 3 years old) but I like it and my toddler enjoys it from time to time. 4 stars just because it isn't an absolute favorite. It is nice though and I enjoy the illustrations.

I threw a woodland/fairy themed party & when I was searching for decor I came across this book. I ended up using it as a centerpiece for the kids/parents to pick up and read as they walked by. Cute book and I love the variety of characters on the cover.

Beautiful book.

This is a gorgeous book. The art is a striking balance of whimsical and soulful. The story itself is brief and likely better for younger children. My youngest daughter is three. I can see reading this from two to seven. If I had to pick say...ten books in my house and only read those to my daughters, this would be one of them. Right up there with Chirri and Chirra's books and Outside Over There...and Someday (which is sadly out of print). As a whole it is perfectly done, from the handwritten text to the generously sized pages. Where her first book Sonya's Chickens had some moral complexity to it, this book is straightforward everyday magic.

Everything about this book is perfect. The size, the weight, the price. The story is lovely and the illustrations are fabulous. Great addition to our Waldorf inspired collection of books. The book is the perfect length & it can be enjoyed from ages 2+ in my opinion. I just ordered 2 more as gifts & I planned on giving the 1st copy away but decided to keep it for myself because it’s that good.

This book is so beautifully illustrated and such a nice magical little story. My partner is a mushroom grower/forager and we just LOVE the fact that nearly every single page has a different kind of mushroom to find and identify. It became an instant favourite in our house, our daughter loves it!

Love the story and illustrations, definitely worth buying. The cover was dirty, could be something went wrong with shipping but no damage to pages.
