Works great
Switch works great, huge upgrade from my 2.5gbe network. Like others mentioned, unit runs hot. I had 2 noctua fans from previous projects so I installed those using a splitter pushing air across the board. Switch operates much cooler now.

Great for the price , perfect for home labs
I havehad this for a bit now , moved to 5gb internet and 10 gb NICs in my servers nd PCs . It works great with ipref3 getting right close to 10gb on my machine . Its just a simple switch , but the price is greta and it works awesome.

Amazing Dual 10Gbps RJ45 Ethernet Networking Switch
This is an amazing 10Gbps and 2.5Gbps switch. It is reliable, great compact design, easy to set-up, and fanless so noise level is nothing. Only con I see is that the price is high but worth the money spent especially if you have ISP internet speeds of 2-3Gbps+ and devices that support those speeds.

Absolute rip-off
This switch is a joke... not worth the money, and the money you think you're saving you definitely aren't, just buy a reputable brand. I travel a ton for work, bought this cause it seemed like a good deal and for a few months just wasn't home enough using my local network to notice any issues. Over the last month, I've been home a bunch and have been chasing speed issues across my network that I finally isolated to this switch tonight after having enough time to properly diagnose.After it's been running for awhile, it chokes down all the ports to 100mbps speeds despite showing that it's connected at 2.5gbps. Reboot the switch or just disconnect everything for a few minutes and reconnect and it comes back up, but still not at 2.5gbps actual speed, only 1gbps despite showing connection at 2.5gbps. Connected my laptop directly to my router, pulling downstream and upstream speeds from speedtest.net at 2.39gbps down and 2.21gbps upstream... connect to this switch and I get 998mbps up and down. Left everything hooked up for a couple hours while working on other systems and come back to my laptop to try again, and it's getting 99.6mbps up and down. Rebooted switch, reconnected... back to 998mbps up and down. Switch connection to the router, still getting in the 2.3/2.2gbps down/up... back to the switch, 998mbps. Thought I'd try the SFP port and see if I had any better luck there, and the switch won't even recognize any SFP's, tried Finisar and Cisco, copper, 1gb fiber and 10gb fiber from each company and none of the 6 are even recognized. If it would even reliably stay at 1gbps it would at least be useful, but that it drops to 100mbps after awhile makes it completely worthless... so this POS is going in the trash and I'm out $100 or whatever I paid for it that seemed like a bargain at the time.

Noisy but upgradeable to Noctua fans
10/10 functionality wise it all works with 10GbE no problems. Chiplet heatsinks get mildly hot to the touch, but seems sufficiently cooled out of the box. Note that the single 40mm fan it comes with is set up to blow air out of the switch enclosure, and is a standard loud server fan.I would give this 4/5 stars IF I hadn't been able to swap the fan out. I was considering returning it because of the noise. But I opened it up and was surprised to see a second 40mm fan mount location available with ample room for airflow.I used a 2-pin to 3-pin adapter, hooked into a 3-pin Y splitter, to replace the single 12v 0.08A fan with two quiet Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX 12v 0.05A fans. I installed them so they blow air over the board and chiplet heatsinks, rather than the original configuration of blowing air out. I feel this is a far more efficient way of cooling the switch components, it's nearly twice the airflow but at substantially less noise. Now that it's nearly silent, I can have it right by my desk without driving me insane. If you buy this, it's absolutely worth swapping the fans.

Runs HOT
I have this 8 Port 10G Ethernet Switch by NICGIGA, and a nicer TP-Link TL-SX1008 8 Port 10G Ethernet Switch. This one cost me $213.67 with tax (currently lists for $280, plus $30 off), and the TP-Link cost $400.I have a 5GB internet connection, and 8 TP-Link Deco 10GBE Wi-Fi 7 mesh access points. I have 7 of the Deco's on this NICGIGA Switch, an done of the TP-Link. I also use a TP-Link ER8411 Router and have a home NAS and several computers that all run 10 Gbe NIC's. My switches get a workout. This NICGIGA gets too hot, it can't handle my traffic, and I think it is running a little slower than it should.The NICGIGA gets HOT. The ambient temperature of the NICGIGA unplugged is 75 deg f. The TP-Link under load hits a max of 98 deg. The NICGIGA runs 130 deg. I don't think the stock fan is loud, but it is in a mechanical room, so i wouldn't notice it. However, the single fan did not keep the unit cool. I just switched the single fan out for dual Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX 12v 0.05A fans that reviewer 'Oland' recommended (see his review for details). Between the two fans, the y splitter, and the 2 pin to 3 pin adapter, it cost me $41.20 to do the upgrade.The fans lowered the high temperature to about 102. With this mod, I am happy with the temperature, its close enough to the TP-Link in temperature now.At $200+41.20 (half the TP-Link price), it might be worth it. But if I had it to do all over again, and at the current prices, I would not recommend this item. I would recommend the TP-Link TL-SX1008 8 Port 10G Ethernet Switch. The TP-Link is higher quality and runs cooler.

Quiet and Just Works
I've been searching for a 8 port 10G-BaseT switch with all copper RJ45 ports and no need for additional SFP+ modules to provide additional high speed ports off the main 10G core SW. This non-managed 10G switch worked without any issues (as it should). Purely plug and play. I've connected 1G, 2.5G and 10G devices to its and all worked without issues. The switch is sitting about 6 feet aways from my desk and I've not noticed any noise coming from its fans. Do note that this is a standard switch, specifically non-managed and no POE functions. So it functions to simply meet your high speed connectivity needs, without the ability for more advanced functions.
