Excellent Replacement Remote!
I absolutely love this remote! I had to replace my old Roku remote after the batteries exploded and ruined it, and this one has been even better than the original. It paired with my Roku very quickly and was extremely easy to set up. The rechargeable feature is wonderful, and I especially love the voice controls and backlit buttons. The remote works perfectly and feels very responsive. The lost remote finder is also a great bonus! Definitely worth the money and a huge upgrade from regular battery remotes.

Rechargeable is a plus. Won't turn on my Vizio smart tv when connected to it.
I purchased this remote about a year and a half ago. Got sick of replacing batteries in my old Roku remote. These remotes are power suckered, I believe this is due to the Bluetooth feature. This new remote is rechargeable by USB-C. Now the new remote uses a lot of battery life too, but at least it can be recharged with my phone cord that sets on my stand by the chair. You can use the remote while charging. I don't think their is anyway around the battery consumption with these types of remotes because of the features. I was able to program/connect it to my roku box and my smart tv. The only issue was it will not turn on my Vizio smart TV so I still need the Vizio remote for that. Overall it is a decent remote, it's definitely an upgrade over the standard one that comes with any Roku device because it is rechargeable. Other than that, not much difference in use, at least for me.

Best Roku remote I ever had - I recommend it
Roku Voice Remote Pro (2nd Ed.): I love this thing. I have been using Roku devices for well over a decade now. I added it to my 'Roku streaming stick 4K' device in a couple of minutes, now I have two remotes active. The backlit buttons are a big plus for me as I often turn down the lights and watch TV in the evening in a fairly dark room with only the wall behind the TV illuminated. The 'hey Roku' voice interface works well controlling the Roku menu. I usually leave that 'always listening' part turned off, with the button on the side. It reduces battery drain and creepiness factor. You can still press the 'microphone' button to enter voice commands when the 'always listening' is turned off. It paired well with my 8 years old LG 4k TV using the IR interface. I have nothing bad to say about this device. Good job to the engineering team.

This remote does not have a long life
It works absolutely great, until it doesn't. The first year we were best friends and now just finding where to point it is almost impossible. Sometimes it works if you point it at the device, sometimes it works if you point it at the ceiling, sometimes it doesn't work at all even with 100% charge. I'm beyond frustrated and hate to spend that amount of money just to replace. The volume works all of the time, but the buttons on the front just have a mind of their own after a certain length of time over a year. It's not like I can't afford a remote every year, but I shouldn't have to. The back lit feature is amazing. It works 100% of the time. It never fails. It just seems to be the communication between the remote and the device that works 50% of the time. If you don't mind replacing it every year, I 100% recommend this remote. But be forewarned that it does not have a long life.

Easier to find rechargeable
The vest remote especially if you’re prone to losing your remote often or the couch tends to somehow make it impossible to find, plus the backlit buttons help for those late nights you find yourself channel surfing, plus no batteries to worry about fast charging lasts for weeks!

Solves so many nuisance things!
I bought this since our bedroom remote doesnt have voice and our living room remote did and my wife keep hinting at getting one with a mic. I stumbled upon this awesome roku remote. Motion activated backlight, the smart "hey roku" is a nice touch, and cool rocket button that basically says this remote is like a 🚀 Hopefully Fox doesnt mess up roku!

Backlit Buttons Are a Game Changer
When I got this 2nd Generation Voice Remote Pro, I thought I might miss having the headphone jack, which I used every once in a while, but having the backlit keys is so great, I would make that trade any day. The remote was very easy to link with my ROKU Ultra and my TV for volume and power. The voice function worked just as well as the 1st gen voice remote and still has a mechanical on/off switch for the microphone, for those who are security conscience. One major difference is they took away the two user programmable buttons (1 & 2) and replaced them with a Guide button (great for those who use the Roku guide or have a terrestrial antenna) and a Quick Launch button - which will either take you to the Roku "What to Watch" channel or you can program it to go to the Roku Sports channel, The Roku channel (there's already a button for that), turn captions on and off (which you can do by voice command), open Voice Command (there's already a button for that), or launch your favorite channel app. I programmed it to launch my most used streaming app. Truth is, everything you can use the Quick Launch button for can be done by saying "Hey Roku" (or pushing the microphone button) and saying whatever you want it to do. Voice control negates the need for user programmable buttons. Another huge difference is the Gen 2 Voice Pro replaced the clumsy, outdated USB-micro charge port with a modern USB-C port. They even included a 1m (36") USB-A to USB-C charge cable - which charged the 1600mAh battery in what seemed to be about half the time of the former Gen 1 Voice Pro. I didn't time it, so I don't know the exact time. The remote still has four pre-programmed app buttons, which in past remote versions changed by whichever streaming app was paying Roku the most that week, so you never knew what those buttons would be until you took your remote out of the box. I think Roku has always known most people would like to be able to program those buttons with four apps of their choosing, but if you happen to have subscriptions to those channels, you'll be fine with it. Besides, the beauty of having a voice remote is that you can tell it to open whatever app you want, without the need of programming or pushing any buttons. You can also tell it to turn the power on and off, mute, pause, closed captions, or pretty much anything else the remote buttons will do. Aside from the loss of 1 user programmable button (which I no longer miss) and the headphone jack (which I might miss), this is by far the best remote Roku has made yet, therefor, I highly, strongly, and most enthusiastically recommend it!

Excelente controle
