I have a 2017 Silverado. My key fobs were worn out and barely read the buttons. The original plastic got all yucky. I bought one of these new fobs to replace one of my old ones. It seriously fit perfect with my original inside circuit board. It took me maybe 5-7 minutes to pop open my old one and put the new one together. This replacement is as good as the oem fob. For 10.00 it was extremely well worth it. So I bought the second one the next day.

We initially considered spending $150 plus additional reprogramming costs for a new key-fob. Instead, we decided to invest $10 to evaluate the alternative. The original fob is challenging to disassemble, and there is a risk of damaging it during the process. The replacement fob presents well, with only minor differences from the OEM version, primarily the logo on the reverse side. With careful handling, it may be possible to reuse the old fob if preferred. Overall, the replacement appears to be of good quality, and all functions operate as expected. Some reviews mention issues regarding incomplete closure of the shell or improper placement of the board during assembly, though we did not encounter these problems.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose this product because of good price point, mostly decent reviews, and it virtually mimics my original 2017 GMC Canyon fob. In fact, when I put it together as indicated in my attached photos, I was able to snap on the old GMC logo battery cover to the new fob shell. Ease of replacement: The hardest part was removing the old broken shell from the circuit board. I had to use a screwdriver to pry it apart. Once that was accomplished there was no issues with inserting the circuit board into the shell and snapping the new fob shell pieces together with the side chrome pieces. I then easily installed my battery, and I noticed the new non-logo battery cover is the same dimensions as my original GMC logo cover so I snapped it on to complete the fob. Ease of use: Unlike several naysayer reviews, I have found the lock, unlock and start buttons work flawlessly for the past 10 days I have been using it. ​ Durability: ​I realize only time will tell how long this new fob shell will hold up and work, but it seems to mimic the OEM fob very well at this time.

Exactly as shown and stated. Very happy with the quality. Took about 10 minutes to switch out the old one. Took more time taking the old one apart than anything else. Definitely recommended.
