Ordering again. 4 stars
These arrived fast without defects or damage. I did like these , so I am reordering to see if quality is consistent with the trash bags too. This brand IS compostable ! If they are not used with in a month they will break down on their own. (even un used in the box. As the remainder of larger zip gallon bags did.) I used my quart sized smaller ones up fast and my trash bags so I had NO issues with zipper seal or splitting at the seams. But for SHORT TERM storage or trash bags these are Amazing! The trash bags did have more of a latex feel to them and should cling nicely to your trash can, with no slipping. But ,...if you over stuff your trash , it will make them hard to remove and damage might happen. So, don't over stuff these. Four stars ,...very good brand for compostable safe bags.

Easily torn
I’m recycle & try to minimize my environmental impact. However, these were so Ethan & easily torn, I should have saved the money & carried my garbage to the dumpster in my hands! I ended up picking it up off the ground with my hands anyway-Disappointed

BIODEGRADABLE means BIODEGRADABLE
I have reordered these multiple times and love them for the weekly dog clean up out of the yard and for the litter boxes. I hate the idea of biodegradable material all wrapped up in plastic and never breaking down. These work great for what I mainly use them for. However!...do not plan to leave ANY type of waste in here for more than a couple of days. They are what they say! BIODEGRADABLE. They start breaking down and the bag will fall apart, leak, and you will have quite a mess in your hands. My son left the weekly poop scoop in this bag without throwing it away and 🤢. What a mess!

Perfect size!
We use these bags for our kitchen garbage can, and they are large enough that they do not fall in. I live that they’re biodegradable and great for the environment!

Split right in half
Split in half before I even got the bags all the way in the trash can. Hoped it was just a one time this and tried another bag and made it halfway to the trash to dump the bag and it split in half…trash everywhere. Do not recommend

Best ones out there!
I love these bags! If you’re looking to replace your regular plastic bag there’s a learning curve. To start they are 100% compostable so they will start to decompose after a week or so. I change my bag twice a week. I have tried several brands and I find this is the best and thickest out there. Second you can think of it like a regular plastic bag because it’s not, but remember it’s 100% better for our Mother Earth. You will sacrifice some to gains some.

durable
These bags are durable. Though they say 5 gallons, they perfectly line my three gallon bin. But, they are not listed as BPI certified and so I had to discontinue their use per the composting company I subscribe to.

Highly recommend
I’ve been using various kinds of compostable garbage bags for a number of years now, but this is by far my favourite. It doesn’t start breaking down right away so it’s actually a practical product. I’m trying to reduce my waste which means I don’t fill up the garbage very quickly anymore and I was find other bags were falling apart by the time I was reading to take them out. Not this one. Plus, you get soooo many bags.

Not up to the task..
I ordered these as I ran out of the ones I normally get from Walmart.Good grief, these are not good.Small, thin, seep moisture through, tear extremely easily, very hard to tie.Very overpriced also, compared to the Walmart ones, which although not perfect either, are far far far superior to these or any like these. The only good thing about these is that they don't have a scent.Again, if you need something in a pinch, then they might tie you over, but otherwise do not waste your money.

Not as good as in-store brands
Hoping these were comparable to the generic brands that you would find at Walmart, these are not it.1) Thin. Glad Branded ones feel atleast 2x thicker. Great Value seemed slightly thicker.2) Bottom is fold-sealed. It does not open full width which, when put into the pale, the bag becomes shorter that the equivelant brands.3) Leaks. I have never had a leak. Ever. The first bag I used leaked. It didn't tear. Maybe its a one-off. Will see. I may order the 3 gallons to test, as they are described to be thicker. These 2.6 gallons will just have to be used for general use garbage or coffee grinds.

HORIBLE product, gets grossly wet with usage so have to double bag so also uneconomical, too:-((((((
I've been using compostable tall kitchen garbage bags from a variety of manufacturers since 1997 and these are absolutely THE worst ones I have ever bought:-(((((I have a mid-sized garbage can so my garbage is full once a week if not more often but moisture seeps right through these bags so whenever I take it out of the garbage can when it's full of garbage, I have to double bag it so it doesn't get wetness all over me, my clothes when taking it to the dump or my car when driving it to the dump as we do not have garbage pickup at our house. A waste of money too having to double bag it every time:-((((
