Excellent shirt!
I had original purchased this for my caucasian husband. He is an XL regular but being this was slim fit i ordered 2xl. Well thr shirt was too wide to the sides and the length was awkward for him. Husband complained that it was a very thick and heavy shirt to wear during the summer. The material had a paper feeling with its crisp. Although I was able to iron it just fine the crisp material is so stiff it wrinkles very much like paper.. the style and design was better looking on my chubby hispanic brother whom I ended up gifting him the shirt and he looked so handsome and the shirt was attractive in jt with his okive skin and dark hair. Thr shirt had a beautiful elaborate embroidery design on the shoulders brother ended up wearing this to the rodeo and it turned ojt tk be a very chilly spring day and he said he remained warm and comfortable the entire time . My brother really loved theis shirt . Heis about 5ft 19 inches talk and weighs like 250lbs. He holds a lot of weight on his abdominals area. The slim size is good for a shortish chubby guy with a big belly. Ghe teason for my negative 1star. Is due to the stiffness of the material and it was hard to press the shirt with a regular iron because it creased lines very quickly. I recommend the shirt for dress up , party costume, rodeo. Maybe not so elegant for a more formal dress up party due to the thick crist material. Its a very good looking shirt. My favorite part od the shirt is that jt har real deep pockets at the chest. So the whote lines are real deep pockets. I also loved the color and the heavy embroidery. The guys thought it was a hot shirt to wear on a hot day. Sorry i didnt get a picture of the back which is beautifully detailed and elaborated.

Big surprise after having bought one of the "big name" brands many times before.
If anything about this changes as far as how it wears, I'll come back, but as soon as I tried it on, I knew I'd lucked out with this purchase. I'd bought several of Scully's beautiful western DUDE shirts for western events I attend and they set the standard for me. But they were a lot heavier than I'd have liked living in a steamy southern climate. The fabric of this shirt is a bit lighter, but BY NO MEANS CHEESIER. It's a good weight and seems beautifully crafted. I'm 6'-2", 200lbs with a belly. I bought the Extra Large and it's a perfect fit, and doesn't seem to constrict or pull at the snaps. The decorative shoulder embroidery of it takes your attention from that. (I THINK/HOPE) The mirror was my friend again when I tried it on.

Perfect Fit & Great Quality!
Bought this shirt for my son to wear to his 9th grade dance. He’s 6'1" and 135 pounds, and the fit was absolutely perfect. The colors are rich and vibrant, and the quality of the fabric and embroidery really exceeded my expectations. It looked sharp and stylish—he got so many compliments! Highly recommend for a special occasion or just to add some Western flair to a wardrobe.

Great Shirt At A Reasonable Price!
I play in a country-rock band, and like to wear western shirts to look the part. There's lots of junk out there, even on Amazon, and also some very high-end brands, but at crazy prices. However, two that seem great yet affordable are El Pionero and this brand, Salvaje Oeste (Wild West). I suspect each brand comes from the same supplier as there are many similarities between the shirts and even the packaging. This is my first one from Salvaje Oeste, so I think some comments are warranted. This shirt is much more of a normal cut vs. the "slim fit" cut of the El Pioneros. I usually wear an XL, but ordered 2XL from both of these brands. So, if you are a big guy you might want to step up a size. I am thrilled with the slightly roomier cut of this shirt as I am a big guy - very broad big shoulders, and yes, too much belly also. This will be very comfortable. On the other hand, if you are built more like a beanpole than a beer keg, you will probably prefer the El Pioneros. I will reiterate - I've only bought this one from Salvaje Oeste. But should I need more, they will be my brand of choice. With both brands, these are pretty good for warmer weather - a med. weight cotton blend, no extra layer at the yoke, fairly breathable. I live in the Philippines, and this is VERY IMPORTANT to me!I hope this helps you pick the right shirt for you. I highly recommend both brands, just with the caveats noted for sizing. If ithers can confirm that other shirts in the Salvaje Oeste line are also a fairly regular cut, that might be useful.A followup, next day - I actually took the two new shirts I got yesterday and held them up to each other, and the only difference I found is size was in the shoulder - the Salvaje Oeste was about 3/4" wider there. I have very large shoulders, so maybe that's enough to make it feel more comfortable for me. If you are trying to upholster your very large belly, then I don't think either brand will work for you.
