This slim flashlight is great. Super bright for what I need, it can do red really bright when “low light” is needed and the magnets are a plus. It’s worth the $$ and has the Coast warranty! Would purchase again

This has become my EDC light and is used almost daily. The form factor is great and the red/white light options are ideal for a single light. USB-C charging with great battery life and range on the lights. This is also the brightest red lamp I have found, the range on the red is almost as good as the white.

Ok for a compact light to use at my job as an automotive mechanic. It’s been durable and battery life is good. The price is high in my opinion tho. Hopefully the battery will last for years.

I think a good flashlight should be a part of a person's EDC. And while I already have a bunch, it's hard for me to pass up one from a good brand like Coast like this one even though I already have a similar flat-style flashlight in the Nitecore EDC27.The two are nearly the same size and have similar features like memory and turbo mode. The EDC27 is definitely more rugged looking and comes with a small LCD panel that provides info on what mode you're on and how much run-time is left in that mode. The Slayer is sleeker and I love the fact that the body is made from a single piece of aluminum, which highlights its high quality.The Slayer also has a deeper carry pocket clip, which I appreciate more as well. The buttons are on the side, (vs. on the back on the Nitecore) to accommodate the magnetic connection, which is pretty convenient and which the EDC237 does not have.In terms of range, the EDC27's is a bit better at the same 1,000 lumen setting and crazy better on turbo mode since the Slayer's Turbo Mode is at 1,000 lumen while the EDC27 gets all the way to a ridiculous 3,000 lumen. Battery life also seems to last longer on the EDC27, though the Slayer's battery life is no slouch.All-in-all, I think the Coast Slayer Red is a great EDC flashlight, especially for anyone that regularly uses one for work or hobbies and will use the red-light feature (which the Nitecore doesn't offer). If you don't need the extra power of similar flat-style flashlights like the EDC27 I compared it to, you should be very happy with this one while saving about $20.
