bought this book as a present to illustrate some of Telfords work after buying the brilliant book about Telford by LTC Rolt.The photographs in the book are very good illustrating Telfords work and would recommend it as it brought more meaning to the descriptions in LTC Rolts book. Would recommend them bought together.

Christmas/birthday present problem solved...
Chris Morris combines lovely images with concise biographical narrative in a beautifully-presented work. His skill as a photographer comes over in the subtle mix of panorama and detail (with occasional touches of the vernacular - I loved the 'for rent' sign he left in one picture of a building). I got this as a present and I think anyone else like me who is interested in scenic views and our industrial heritage would be thrilled.
