For $500 less than the sony
This has become one of my favorite lenses to use. Sigma is amazing at what they do and what they can create and sell for so much less than Sony glass. Of course Sony glass will always have its advantages. But then it comes down to if it's worth the massive price difference. For $500 less than the Sony 50 mm f1.2 This lens is absolutely amazing. It's autofocus performances is quick and sharp. This lens is an amazing way to take your lowlight photography to the next level.

The nifty fifty is so tack sharp. I've had other brands on my Sony's but the native hardware definitely is worth the extra cash.

Very sharp lens, however ....
Just got it yesterday. The lens is very sharp, autofocus is accurate and fast on my Sony a7R5. However, off the camera or when the camera is not powered on, it feels like there is something floating inside the lens, especially when you tilt the lens up or down ??? Perhaps something loosen inside ??? It goes away when you power up. So I am not sure what to do ??? It worries me ...

Fantastic lens
I have used this lens now on a lot of jobs. It's a very good lens and even sharp at F 1.2. focus is very fast and it has good contact. I use the side push button set to image review to see images playback fast and easy. I use this lens on all our portrait sessions and weddings as well.
