Empty Replacement Case for Craftsman 230 Piece Mechanic's Tool Set 99920

Better than the original one my tools came with. 4 latches instead of 2. Better latches (still plastic) but my old one broke and it was purchased 20 years ago. Tools change over time so some of my wrenches won’t go in the slots or the ratcheting screw driver, but the sockets fit fine.

Not a one for one replacement for my original Craftsman set but it works very well. Great value for the price.

This purchase was a disappointment all-around. It arrived in a skimpy plastic envelope that was tattered and torn in numerous places...no packing material whatsoever. When I went to place my Craftsman socket set and wrenches in the case, I found that the wrenches wouldn't even fit in the spaces provided. Some of the socket spaces held the socket pieces firmly, others were loose and the pieces didn't stay in place. The snap down clasps on the sides of the case are made of flimsy plastic, which would probably break under moderate use. Having been a long time Craftsman tool user, I can't believe that a product of such poor quality is allowed to carry the Craftsman brand name. I guess quality standards have gone way down, since Sears sold off the Craftsman brand.

Like the price and sturdiness of the case but it would not accommodate my existing tools.

Seemed to be well made but my tools did not fit

It hold a lot of sockets strong good clasp to close it.

Works great with even older style craftsman tools. Will fit the older craftsman ratchets if a hair dryer is used to soften and remold the plastic a little.

Has more than enough room for sockets and ratchets. Has places for driver bit holders etc.. I do wish it had a little more room for a few more wrenches. Its a good replacement for the set that I have had for 20 years
