This egg incubator is excellent for small poultry hatching projects. It’s compact but well-designed, with an automatic egg turner that makes the process effortless. Used this to incubate my first batch of chicks and got seven out of eight eggs successfully hatched all by day 21. Great basic hatcher- got it on sale- I added a small humidity monitor in - I like the auto turning feature - I watched a review where they were saying that they felt like the aggressive nature of the turner helped the hatch rate. The one downside is that the instructions that come with this incubator are basically nil - so I had to search up things on YouTube to try to figure out a few things. Note: when you remove the Turner at day 18 or 19- Just a note that the machine no longer turns at all. This was not noted in the instructions so I wasn’t sure. Its important because you don’t want the eggs disturbed during lockdown. Also, I was not able to use the water bottle and tube because the humidity got way too high that way- over 80% - Even though our house is at 25% now. So I added small bits of water throughout the day with a cup except at lockdown. Because of this, it was hard to keep the humidity where it needed to be esp during lockdown- but I made it work. If you’re looking for a small budget incubator to start out with & don’t mind a little babysitting- this is a great option.

I’m concerned. I set up my incubator. The thermometer on the top was set to 100. It warmed up quickly. Once everything appeared stable I added the egg,but since there is not a humidity reader on this one, I put in another thermometer with the humidity reader built-in. The thermometer inside says 86% humidity which is too high and the temp is not even close! I turned up the heat to try and increase the internal temp but it’s still not warm enough. What do I do? -and why is this not working?

I bought this as an emergency to replace an incubator that broke in the middle of a hatch. It was completely different than other incubators than I used in the past, so it made me nervous buuuut I wholly recommend it! I didn't have as much control over the humidity levels as my other incubators but it worked well. All but two of my eggs hatched (probably the eggs themselves). I really liked that the electrical components are completely separate from the water basin (my old one they were all in the bottom this is probably why it was broken) so it made cleaning up a breeze after the chicks hatched. I ended up getting two of these and ended up with a total of 18 chicks to add to my existing flock after everything was said and done. I used eggs from my own chickens and roosters and hatched for my classroom. Word of advice - I was suppose to take out the rotator on Sunday night based on the "hatch day", thinking I'll be there Monday morning, I'll just do it then instead of doing it early on Friday night. I had one incubator at home and one in the classroom on the same schedule. I woke up Monday morning to baby chicks my incubator at home. Panic!! Do it Friday night, go in on Sunday or put your eggs in a day later if you're doing it for a class. My eggs ended up hatching earlier than scheduled and started hatching 20 minutes after I got to my class on Monday morning. I made it in time so they didn't get caught in the egg turner. Whew, diaster averted. Recommend incubator.

Love these little incubators, they're so great for kids to get to watch the hatching process! This is simple to use and lightweight, stays on temp & is self rotating. Awesome!!

It doesn’t have good humidity control at all. There’s no spot to open to make it. So if you live in a humid place (I live in GA) I’d advise to dry hatch. And put maybe 3-4 teaspoons of water in it. It hatched all my eggs so that’s a good thing. Automatic egg turner works well. We’ve hatched one time using this so far.
