Very pleased 😁😁😁
I purchased this "As New" from StudentComputers for £45 when the Amazon new price was £75 - subsequently Amazon reduced the price in the Spring Sale to £49 (but it has since returned to the original £75).... Anyway, I am very happy. The soundbar arrived next day in full commercial packaging (though the seals had been opened as advertised). Everything was wrapped and pristine with all accessories present and sealed. ie. The device was "As New" as promised. I was going to fix the soundbar to the front of the shelf just below our new "bedroom" Hisense Smart TV. However, this wasn't necessary as it just fitted below the TV on the shelf. As such, I didn't need to use the supplied brackets and screws etc. I used a new HDMI cable (alas, not supplied) to connect to the TV's HDMI-ARC socket and the corresponding socket on the soundbar. I then connected the UK power lead and turned the device on. The TV immediately recognised the new CEC device and now uses the soundbar for all audio. As such, the TV remote now conveniently controls the soundbar volume and power. ie. As regards use with the TV, the soundbar's own remote control is redundant. It is useful when I use say, a Bluetooth connection with my mobile or tablet, or for adjusting Bass and/or Treble. Sound quality (particularly the base) is surprisingly good for a soundbar in this price range. It's not up to Bose standards but is very acceptable in a small room and certainly a whole lot better than the TV speakers..... So I had absolutely no issues - and I am rather chuffed. 😁👌😁👌😁 NOTE. There appears to be some confusion when using the HDMI-ARC connection to a TV. In this configuration, no other cables (Optical, AUX/RCA etc) are required. The audio signal is passed via the HDMI cable. I did find that an old HDMI cable I had in a drawer did not work. A new HDMI (2.0) works perfectly. ARC and CEC need to be enabled on the TV. On our Hisense TV, they were enabled by default - see photo.

Value for money but don’t be excited
Good sound bar, sound is loud and not so clear struggles with voices sometimes - I tried different EQ but they manage to reset sometimes, looks great, very easy to connect to a modern smart tv though doesn’t come with HDMI cable, remote is not in use because it functions with eARC. The biggest annoyance is the fact that it will just auto power off after 15 minutes and there is no way to disable it. Haven’t used Bluetooth. Cables are nice and lengthy.

Cheap, cheerful, punchy: A good price for great sound.
I bought this unit to replace one from another brand that had a strange issue where it would switch to a rogue Bluetooth source for no good reason. It was very disruptive to TV viewing or Xbox gaming for obvious reasons. This soundbar really does pack a punch. I didn't want to buy something with the same spec as my two-year-old system (120W) so I looked for something with more power, and found this 180W system. The sound from the sub fills the room, and even the soundbar itself doesn't have terrible speakers, for the size and the price. I can definitely recommend this unit. 1. Very sensibly, it doesn't have unnecessary touch-buttons as so many things do these days. If you go near some soundbars (including my old one) and knock it, you're bound to turn it up very loud at 3 in the morning, change source, turn it off or do something equally irritating. This has very nice and hard-to-press rubber buttons making it ideal for blind users such as myself, and hard for small children to press, so your sound stays as *you* left it, and no nasty surprises. 2. Ridiculously easy to set up. I connected it all using an optical cable in just a few minutes, no instructions required. Being blind, I couldn't have read them even if I'd have wanted to. 3. Minimal remote-control. Flat, so mind you don't scoot it under the sofa perhaps, but aside from that, very sensible. Conclusion: Buy it. Even though there are hardly any reviews for this product at the time of writing, on any site whatsoever, buy it. If you're in the market for a cheap soundbar and good sound, this one will do right by you. I have it connected to a 50-inch Samsung TV and if you know Samsungs, they have that curved TV stand underneath, so I rested the bar in the middle of it, and my kids say it looks cool so it must be alright. My only problem so far is that I cannot get my SkyQ touch-remote to control it using the volume buttons, because it's not a recognized model in Sky's database of products, and I can't find the code to enter into the remote to make it happen manually. Still, a 5-star rating, because it's easy enough to use it's own remote for the one thing.

Great soundbar if you’re into bass
It’s a good sound bar but it reflects its price. It doesn’t have any of the Dolby atmos tricks that others seem to have, but if you’re looking for something to make your tv sound better, then this will do the job. Before I bought this, I tried the Sony, Denon and Samsung but none of these wireless sub woofers were loud enough. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t trying to start a rave, but when watching movies they were all so poor. Just a faint rumbling from the sub. This one is cheap and cheerful but ready to go as soon as you use the hdmi or optical connections. My only criticism of this sound bar is that it only has three presets to choose from when watching tv or streaming movies. News, Music and Movies. You don’t have a visual on what the bass or treble levels are on the bar itself, so it can be difficult to know how much bass or treble has been applied…but I guess at the very least, you have the option to change these. The most annoying thing about the bar is that if you have the perfect settings for a movie, if you cycle through presets to another setting, such as Music, it will forget your original settings for Movies or News. There is no way to save the bass and treble settings for a custom setting. That said, I’d still recommend this sound bar, it’s not amazing but does exactly what you’ll need it to

Not bad but has faults
First off it's quite noticable how light the soundbar and sub-woofer is compared to others in a similar price range and it dosen't feel as high quality as it looks or like others in a similar price range. the sound quality is pretty good and the sub-woofer quite effective with nice bass which is probably the most important thing, and the subwoofer connected wirelessly with no issues, the pre-set sound settings are also pretty good when using ARC so it deserves credit there but I deducted stars and cannot recommend it due to a couple of other issues which for me were deal breakers and mean't I returned it for a refund. 1. There is only 1 HDMI port on the soundbar, and as it must be connected to a HDMI ARC port on the TV as the ARC function doesn't work (on my TV anyway - Hisense U7A 50") if you plug this soundbar into another device first (even if it has the HDMI CEC setting), then connect that device to the TV HDMI ARC, so if you want to use the ARC function this is an issue as there is no way to plug another device into the soundbar first and use passthrough to the TV unlike with a soundbar with 2 or more HDMI ports where another device can be connected to the soundbar and it passes through to the TV. In this case the only option is to use the optical connection, but then you don't have the advantage of the ARC function and the sound quality isn't as good (in my opinion having tried it as the equalizer settings don't seem to do anything). 2. The remote isn't very responsive and with the lack of an LED display on the soundbar it's very easy to pass what function you want to use especially as the lights aren't easy to distinguish and getting the right volume level can be a chore as it goes up and down in increments of 2 and there is no indicator on the soundbar, with the only way to get a volume level indicator on the TV is if you connect using ARC, otherwise it is just guesswork when using optical. Actually even using the TV remote when using ARC or a programable remote like the Harmony Elite makes no difference so the sluggishness issue must be in the soundbar not the remote.

Sharp by brand but not sharp for sound!
Went for this as it has the Sharp brand name but otherwise it's no better than any other generic soundbar fortunately I got it for a knock down price so can't complain as I wasn't planning on spending a fortune on what I wanted but if you want a quality item at a premium price then don't bother paying full wack for this as the branding is misleading as to quality IMO, it's quite chunky and not very streamlined standing fairly high in front of the TV and actually hides the digital receiver display connection is more or less straightforward but comes with no cables other than a power lead so you need to plan ahead of delivery if you want to plug and play straight off and I found that the ARC connection does not work as well as it should so that the TV remote sound function which should be dominant over the soundbar remote isn't and so the volume has to be adjusted from soundbar remote hence I loose sound balance and clarity of sound if you can get it for around £50 or so then it's probably as good as anything else if not go for something better

Excellent value, perfect if you don't need max volume
At £100, I'll probably end up with a second one of these. I've had it for a month now and use it on max volume in my home gym (garage with bad acoustics) multiple times per week for hours at a time. It does struggle at max volume. The quality of the bass starts to degrade a bit but it never sounds tinny. I've got it in the kitchen now for cooking and it's perfect. It sounds much fuller than e.g. a Google assistant or a typical portable Bluetooth speaker. Now that I'm not using it at full volume it's doing its job perfectly. This would be great for general music listening, a home office, etc. Even for a party where you want to be able to chat, like a bbq or sitting in the garden. The only time it's not ideal is if you want surround sound for the TV (note Netflix doesn't offer 5.1 surround sound unless you use their most expensive plan), or if you're like me and want to play music at volumes that would surely get you an ASBO. For context, this is a 180W soundbar and my usual system is 1000W. Highly recommend!
