Speck Products CandyShell Grip Cell Phone Case for iPhone 8 Plus/7 Plus/6S Plus/6 Plus - Wisteria Purple/Mykonos Blue

I bought this case because I needed something that was easy to install and remove since this phone is a large one and my truck's charging pad is only large enough to hold a large iPhone (like an 8+) without a case attached. I usually have a battery back on my phone when I am out but for convenience when traveling, I decided to go with this case. It has worked flawlessly since I got it. It is fairly simple to install and remove, and it has a great grip and easily fits in my back pocket when I get out of the truck. The grippy surface keeps it from easily slipping out of my pocket as I walk. Well worth the price and a great cover.

Update: I went back to review the advertisement for this product and I was shocked to see that Amazon lists this item as being sold from a small business. It is literally being sold by Amazon, also Speck is not a small business by any means…Amazon has this I have been using speck cases now for almost fifteen years and have had a few of their other styles, but mainly stuck with the candyshell. Overall they are pretty decent cases; I drop my phone all the time, and I have yet to crack my screen (probably just jinxed it). However, somethings that stood out to me with this most recent case is the design, the materials used, and the warranty.The design now is strange, because the case has been designed for three different phones. This means there are extra holes for items my phone does not have; such as an audio jack.The materials used seem different, such that the hard plastic is really really shiny now and the soft rubber material does not appear to be as sturdy. In addition, I used this case for one day and the red is already starting to turn black. This is weird, since I keep my phone in my pocket most of the day… come to find out it’s from the black fabric in my pockets. I’ve never had this happen with anything else I’ve put in these pockets; including white items.In regards to the warranty, all Speck cases used to come with a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty for defects and materials. Apparently that is not the case anymore. Now only their most expensive cases are lifetime warranty; a good portion of their cases are only good for a year. This seems problematic to me since I have noticed defects in their cases years after purchasing them. Part of the assurance from spending more and buying a quality case like Speck was knowing that you are covered if it starts to fall apart for no reason. Advertisement should probably say one year manufacturer’s warranty so there is no confusion.Unfortunately, due to these three things, I feel inclined to rate this case at only three stars. We will see how long it lasts; I way update my review in the future if the case exceeds my expectations.

It’s a great phone case , but… the back camera area was too small . It fit the phone perfectly tho!

This is my second case. I got one of these when I first got my phone over three years ago and it just started to show wear. I love the texture on the case making it easy to hold onto.

This is the most brilliant case and in fact the second I have owned as I bought a new one for my bigger upgraded phone. On my old phone I had the case for two years, my phone was still in mint condition after that and there was only a small crack in the case - other than that it still looked like new. I bought this one for my new phone and it’s just as brilliant. The grip lines on the back make the phone very secure in your hand. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Very good quality and fits my phones perfectly

Camera cut out is small, not what’s advertised. My iPhone 8 plus doe not fit this case. Even inside case is not the same. I am using this version right now for my phone but needed a new one. Thinking something is up. Came in cardboard box. Not how Speck is usually packaged. Very disappointed and will ask for refund unless this company has the real deal.

Usualmente los productos Speck son de buena calidad, en esta ocasión la funda Candy Shell ha sufrido abrasiones y rayones muy notorios ¡con tan solo una semana de uso!, no la recomiendo, el plástico antiderrapante está bien, pero el resto de la carcasa es plástico brillante es muy frágil y se raya con mucha facilidad, tan salo con sacarla y merarla de la bolsa del pantalón, haciendo que lo bonito de la funda desmerezca, tache para Speck con este material.
