No water used in clean up, and since the home is heated by a high efficiency wood stove, they are used in the wood stove after use.Because they are wood, you can also use them when cooking, especially in a non-stick skillet. I use them to scramble eggs as well as saute vegetables and flip meat without piercing the surface. Piercing with a fork makes the juices run out and your meat will be dry.When it's time to reorder, I do a little research to find the cheapest option but still a nice product. At the time of this review, this particular brand and vendor was the best value. The chopsticks are nice and smooth. I even keep a few in the car console for eating on the go.
