Exile: Marc Dane, Book 2

Good tale, despite unnecessary USAmericanised neologisms
A good yarn. Blood spurts and gushes; brains and skull fragments splatter. Although I'm sure that Mr Swallow doesn't intend it, his lurid, visceral descriptions made me laugh. Perhaps that's just me, though. But I did think 'Less is more'.I went the audiobook route. The reader is often too staccato. For example: 'She shot him... a glance'. Made me smile. But altogether the reading is pretty good, despite the USAmericanised verb forms, such as 'dove' and other unnecessary neologisms. And the story is gripping.

Quite fun.
Quite fun, but just too much fighting and endless commentary about different weaponry which might appeal to some; not to me.
