I like the accessibility and nuance of Matt's writing. If you've listened to his podcast or sermons, you can hear his voice in the text.More importantly, this book has taught me so much about Revelations. I will have to read it again to catch all the things I missed the first time. But some of my favorite take aways are how Revelations isn't terrifying. Revelations is FOR God's "redeemed saints across all space and time".Also how amazing and reassuring that Jesus died "for those who will be saved."Matt has given us a great resource to help us gain clarity and hear what God is telling us through Revelations.

We did a study on this book in our small group. It was an all time favorite for us! We learned so much about God and what He was trying to teach us through John's words in Revelation. Matt made it easy to understand and was very encouraging throughout. It definitely changed us!

"The Overcomers" is a must-read. I’ve read this book twice already and have listened to Matt Chandler’s Bible study on it as well. It is thought provoking and eye opening, helping you understand the book of Revelation and the “end times” in which we are living. I’ve read and studied the Bible for many years and I feel that reading this book has enlightened me on God’s ultimate plan and my purpose as an overcomer in our current culture.

This is one of the best books I’ve read! Growing up in the fundamentalist movement, Revelations brought great dread, and frankly gave me nightmares. In this book, Matt has brought clarity out of confusion, delight out of dread, and I was left feeling immense encouragement to press forward knowing that I was made for today, and because of Christ, I’m an overcomer! I have both the audio version and paperback. You won’t read Revelations the same ever again!
