I am a fan - love the crisp (and large) printout and speedy, quiet printing.
I have been setting up a new home office and wanted to get the same kind of adding machine I had at work, a standard printing adding machine. My old one had auto power off and a “000” button, both features I appreciated. I bought one, the unit randomly stopped working from time to time (hitting the reset button on the back fixed it), and the replacement had the “+” key stick after a few weeks. I decided to try a Victor unit, having had one in the past, and the large print aspect of this one appealed to me. I wasn’t crazy about the thermal paper, but I like the idea that it’s quiet and fast, so I gave it a try.A few weeks later, I am hooked and have replaced my office adding machine with the same model. I like the larger printout, and 10 digits is usually enough for what I do. On the few occasions I’ve needed more digits, I’ve just flipped the “10/12” switch and presto! A 12 digit calculator with normal sized printout.I like the thermal printout as well. I was concerned in not having negative numbers print in red – the display turns red, but thermal paper only prints in one color. The solution from Victor is that negative numbers print in bold, which is distinctive enough for my uses. Meanwhile, the printout is crisp and clear and doesn’t fade as the ribbon degrades. You can write on the paper or hit it with a highlighter without any issue, or at least you can with the various (inexpensive) thermal papers I have tried.I like the time and date feature, although there’s a typo in the manual – you hit the “#/S” key to print the time or date after calling them up. Other than that, it’s a pretty standard adding machine that does the job and does it well. Highly recommended.

Excellent product
Customer Service is excellent as I had to call them because calculator was not working correctly. She had me push reset button by the battery on the bottom of productand that solved the problem.I asked 2 other questions, received answers and that was that.Product is easy to use. It's lightweight. The keys are large and easily readable. Though I will probably never use some of the functions, this large print calculator is perfect for my use. While speaking to customer service I had product on my lap. It's design is very stable and worked beautifully from my lap. Can't speak to battery life as I received product yesterday & turned on today.I'm pleased with this product and customer service help.

A miracle calculator
I have macular degeneration. I have had difficulty reading the tape in my old calculator. I had to use a magnifying glass. This Victor machine is a miracle for me. I can read the tape in big, bold and clear numbers.in black. No more having to reading the faint red numbers for subtraction. You don't need red numbers for subtraction anyway. This is the first I heard of thermal. It's great because it is no longer necessary to buy ink cartridges. The cost of the thermal paper roll is quite reasonable. About $5.00. And a thermal roll will last for a long time. This calculator operates fast and is extremely quiet. The readout panel in front is great. The numbers are big. The numbers are in yellow with a contrast of black background. I use this calculator mainly to balance my checkbook. The calculator is easy to operate. I think most lay people use it for ordinary purposes. I mainly use it to add, subtract, multiply, divide and figure out percentages. I recommend this calculator very much if you have low vision. May I suggest that Victor make the big print calculator available for non-commercial users. Many of us are not accountants and bookeepers. Make the calculator simple to use for baby boomers, seniors and those who have low vision . So, right now I am just using the center part of the machine where the numbers are. It's ok. It's easy. Thank you for making this machine available for us. I love it!

Large Print a Definite PLUS feature!
Having used a major brand printer calculator for the past 40 + years, this is my first purchase of a Victor brand printer calculator that requires thermal paper for printing. I was apprehensive about using thermal paper for printing, and was unable to test a either a Victor or another brand in a local store. So, I was purchasing this type of printer, using thermal paper for the first time. In my initial set up, the paper was loaded easily into the Victor model # 1320 printer. However, the layout of the numerous keys are in a totally different locations as compared to my previous printer calculator. That is the reason I have only rated this Victor model # 1320 printer calculator 4 Stars ! It will take a few more uses for me to change my rating. Perhaps, in 6 months, I will have a better feel of the new locations of the keys for me to give a more accurate and better rating at that time. Thank you ! CCC - MIchigan
