Love, Love this dimmable lamp!! With led light in 1) pure white, 2) warm (pale yellowish) and 3) the two types combined along with a bright to dim range on all three settings - this lamp is ost versatile and the price is fair. All I’ve ever had is basic lamps. This one is so nice as a barely contacting touch turns the lamp on, off, and allows for easy transitioning among the functions. Also, the lamp is made of quality parts all the way around - definitely has a more sturdy feel. A+++ !

This is the ideal lamp for those who need a light source that is bright, broad and can be placed exactly where you need it. The magnifier is all-glass and very clearly shows small details. I frequently modify guitars and sometimes need to see small parts; this is exactly what I've needed for some time now. The three different color-settings are each nice in their own way, but I prefer the "warm-daylight" setting. The brightness level is short in range, but the brightest setting is perfect. Best of all, the base that attaches the lamp is all-metal and very, very secure. One touch brings it exactly where I need the light, and the buttons are easy to use. In addition, the balance springs are coils inside the joints, so they are not visible, yet are strong. All in all, a great light.

This is a great magnifier lamp. It absolutely would be a five-star product, except that one adjustment (the 300 degree rotation of the head) has no tensioning or tensioning control so it frequently shifts if left in an un-level position, making it a bit tricky to use from some angles without keeping one hand on it. Everything else has tension adjustments and those work perfectly.The different color temperatures and brightness levels are ideal. The magnifier works well and is definitely glass. (The weight of it probably contributes to the tendency of the head not to stay put.) The flip-shut top helps it stay clean and makes it very usable as a task light.The overall reach is quite good as well. It really is very nearly (but not quite) perfect.A very worthwhile successor to the fluorescent-based Ottlite magnifier it replaced.

My husband does very detailed pencil drawings and this light has been a game-changer for him. He's able to get it really close to his drawing on his drafting table and he loves the brightness and color adjustability on the light. I use it when I have a detailed sewing project and it's great to help remove splinters! It's a great magnifier especially for the price. It's sturdy, completely quiet (no buzzing) and easy to move around. It stays in place where you want it to be. We love it.

I liked this lamp because it offers the ability to show a lower temp range of light - the "yellowish" temp that has lower "blue" output that can cause long term issues with eyes. The light also stays put where I place it and does not bounce up like another lamp I had.The only slight issue I had with the lamp was that the light would be visible from the side, but that was easily fixed with a strip of black electrical tape to block it on the side facing me, so the light would only direct downward.

This was exactly as described. Took a few times to get the hang of the buttons, but even with operator error they worked nicely. I am well pleased with the quality & clarity of the magnifying glass. This turned out to be just the upgrade I needed.

Love the easy touch controls, so easy to change the light colors! Able to dim the light for a perfect view. I use for watercolor painting, crafts and crochet. So glad I choose this over the Ott light which does not offer the versatility that this lamp does. Very well made, sturdy and easy to position. Buy this lamp, you won’t be sorry!!

Update - Added a star for customer service. After I posted the review below, the seller reached out to me and worked to improve my experience. Hopefully this is an indication they care enough to improve the quality of the magnifier.Pros - Light is bright and close to the advertised color temperature, really helps me see true color when I paint, draw, or craft. The arm is well-constructed and sturdy.Cons - The base requires at least a 2" lip to securely support the lamp, which is an issue on most desks with sidewalls or drawers. The lens is terrible. The chromatic aberration is so bad it makes the object of interest look like a poorly made 3-D picture with lines of color outlining every edge. Depth of field is limited, and off-axis focus is poor. Focal length seems to be a lot shorter than a 5 diopter, it could be a 6 or 7, which limits the utility of the lamp to very close up (<7 inches) work. This is not a lens for reading a paper.
