Its still NCIS but...
I am obsessed with the NCIS brand. I have watched every episode of every show. I've really enjoyed ones like NCIS Hawaii and NCIS New Orleans, which gave flavors of the local culture woven into the storylines. And all of the other series I really enjoyed the different characters, plat lines, etc. I was very excited when a new one came out therefore. However, after having watched season one of Sydney, it's still NCIS so it's still good, but I don't think it's as good as the others.

Really good so far!
I'm liking the medium intensity & more feel good vibe :) The ensemble seems to work well together! I think a couple of the characters need to be fleshed out more, but I think that will come with time. The lack of a bunch of gore, demented villains, and over the top dramatics is a welcome relief. Cheers!

I fell asleep. And I had just had a large iced coffee.
I am going to be real. I was so excited when I saw this because I am a fan of the older show and this looked nostalgic. But I just woke up to see it ended and my screen on the credits. I fell asleep halfway through it ( a little more than halfway) and I want to be honest that I missed the end. But I never fall asleep during shows, even when I am zonked. This felt like a pilot for sure but not one that had found it's voice at all or was grounded yet. They have a lot of work to do to get to the point where I would care about any of the characters. I think parts they thought were funny, were just not funny. And the serious parts were more cheesy than good if that makes sense. It's not so bad that it get's one star because you have a great set design and I respect the work of the crew. But the actors need some more layers to their characters and the writers really need to offer them that as well as the Director(s).
