Waiting to see if it reduces prostate

Decided to try this after reading an article about how Saw Palmetto helps reduce prostate size in older men and is a normal byproduct of aging and a cause of frequent urge to urinate. I've only taken it a few days but do seem to see a decrease in the urges to urinate often as well as a stronger stream. It seems to be working.

Saw palmetto is used by older men to improve urine flow. Both medical evidence and anecdotal evidence agree that the results are mixed as to whether it actually helps or not. My observation is this is due to two reasons. First, some men simply don't respond to saw palmetto as well as others. Second, there is a big difference in the quality of the product.A good saw palmetto will be made from the berries. It is the berries that do the trick. On lesser products you will sometimes see "whole herb" in the description. This sounds very nice, but it is deceptive. It means they are using other parts of the palmetto to make the product. Puritans Pride lists the berry as its active ingredient.If you are an older male looking for a natural product to help, be sure to select a saw palmetto supplement made from the berries. It may not help everyone. It helps me.

My father has had an enlarged prostrate for years. I began giving him this product and noticed that he went to the bathroom easier. He recently went to a rehab facility and was not receiving the saw pimento. He began having an urge all of the time. Was going every 15 minutes. I took them the bottle I had been using and after a week or so the urges got better. He is back to his normal before this happened

The product’s title on this page is now misleading. Product #1951 has never had 1000 mg of extract, and the bottles currently supplied are no longer prominently labeled “1000 mg**” (Image 1) with the qualifier (Image 3) “250 mg **(a 4:1 Extract, equivalent to 1000 mg of Saw Palmetto).” The Supplement Facts now show only “Saw Palmetto Extract...250 mg” (plus the 10 mg of standardized extract, as before) without claiming equivalence to 1000 mg of Saw Palmetto (so some reviewers perceived false advertising). So how much of “standardized extract” is naturally present in the 250 mg of (nonstandardized) extract? Assuming that the 250 mg still comes from 1000 mg of Saw Palmetto berries, an estimate of the answer is given in this article: “Fatty Acid and Phytosterol Content of Commercial Saw Palmetto Supplements” by Kavitha Penugonda in Nutrients 2013, 5, 3617-3633 (available online). Their analyses of extracts from three commercial saw palmetto berries samples showed mean values (n = 3) of 126.4 mg total fatty acids per gram of berries plus 0.33 mg sterols per gram. So this total, 126.73 mg, corresponds to approx. 141 mg (133-149 mg) of “85-95% standardized extract” (though not technically standardized) in the 250 mg of extract; ca. 151 mg total including the 10 mg of standardized extract. My rating so far is based on the product’s packaging, not its efficacy.

Easy to swallow no after taste, they seem to work well for me
