It's relatively cheap, has a nice sleek faux leather outside, and the pages are a decent quality. The paper grips my ball point pens well, though gel and ink pens do permeate the pages a little. It's not bad, though I don't like the line formatting, if you're considering this journal, you probably are getting it doe the formatting.

I purchased a couple of these journals for my boys to use on an upcoming trip. They were both excited about them and loved the way they looked and felt. I like the fact that they have a button closure strap. If opens and closes easily and seems like it will last with lots of use. The stitching on the journal is nice, and the pocket on the front is a nice detail--as is the ribbon that can be used to mark your place. The pages are thick and have a good feel to them. The boys will be able to use a good-quality pen on the pages and not have the writing bleed through. The journal also stays open fairly well on its own. The pages are well stitched in, and everything seems like it's good, solid quality. I'm happy with this purchase!

This is a wonderful journal. I love the heavy, lined pages and the sueded cover that snaps closed. A slide pocket on front and a ribbon bookmark are great additions. It's not too heavy to carry. The top margin has lines for the date and number, or really whatever header you want to give the page. I use this for work and it really helps keep me organized and my notes all in one place. Highly recommend.
