Purchased so we will have weather info, in case electricity is out. This unit delivers NOAA weather, as well as AM and FM and does so with either solar, AAA battery or hand crank power.It has a siren, flashlight, reading light, decent antenna, and a compass for camping/hiking.It is not large or heavy, so is portable if camping.Overall, happy I got this via Amazon.

Seems sturdy. Charges by solar and crank. Has not been tested yet in a hurricane.

This unit works well as an emergency radio and a potential recharge platform. I have not checked the solar capabilities, but it picked up sunlight on a window sill and was charging in it's own. It arrived charged and performed flawlessly in a few tests. Radio quality I thought was good, I'm not expecting "Concert Sound", but functioned fine. It was discounted when I purchased it and seems like an excellent value.

Versatile and easy to use. Portable. Good sound quality. Excellent radio.

I plan on using it in bad weather because of all of its tools

This was and upgrade. This one has more battery power and "C" type charging plugs for my laptop and Phone. Not that I will be using this to charge them but it's always handy to have a backup. The radio works well and the emergency broadcasts channels come in real handy. It also has a handy light.

I absolutely love this radio!! It is compact but still has ability to pump up the volume. I take to pool and beach and it holds a charge from the solar charging! I highly recommend this radio!
