Worked great for me
The pump arrived packaged well and oil free. I’m guessing based on reviews there were some at some point that the supplied oil leaked from the bottles? Comes with enough oil to fill to recommended level plus enough to change it at least once-possibly twice. Worked great vacuuming the a/c system on my 2015 Dodge Durango which was my first ever attempt at recharging auto a/c on my own after replacing the condenser which was taken out by road debris getting through the grill. No complaints on the vacuum. Seems to be a solid unit, appears built well, and operates as if it’s well made too. I bought the bigger two stage in case of a need for other possible applications in the future.

Decent pump for automotive AC
Replace the fuel seals on my AC system on my vehicle. I ended up losing all the freon due to these leaks. So instead of taking it somewhere I have a set of gauges but I needed a vacuum pump to pull vacuum on the system and make sure it has no more leaks and to dry it out. I settled on this pump I know it's only a quarter horsepower but it does the job. It pumped down the system fairly quickly in about 15 minutes but I let it run for over an hour to ensure it pulled a heavy vacuum to help dry out the system. I let the system sit for about 5 hours make sure I had no leaks. I fill the system with freon and it works great. The nice thing about this pump is it comes with the oil, and there are two type of fittings on the pump one for r22 and one for r143a. The pump construction seems pretty durable although I wouldn't drop it it will probably snap something. The oil is easy to drain and the side Glass is nice so you can see any contamination in the oil. Just make sure when you replace the oil you you vacuum pump oil of a good quality. I imagine after a few uses the oil will become contaminated with moisture. Otherwise this pump work fantastic for my intermittent use for the home mechanic

A must have if you intend on working on your own A/C
I recently used the VIVOHOME 110V 1/4 HP 3.5 CFM Vacuum Pump to service my Audi’s AC, and it worked great! The pump had plenty of power to get the job done efficiently, pulling a strong vacuum without any issues. It’s compact, easy to handle, and surprisingly quiet. The overall build quality feels solid enough, and it performed exactly as expected. For the price, it’s an excellent tool for anyone needing a reliable vacuum pump for home or automotive projects. I’d definitely recommend it!

I recently used this vacuum pump for my home A/C system, and it exceeded my expectations! It’s compact yet powerful, quickly pulling a deep vacuum, which saved me a lot of time. The build quality feels solid, and it’s surprisingly quiet for its size. The pump operates smoothly, with no overheating even during longer jobs. It also has an easy-to-read gauge and a sturdy handle, making it easy to carry and use anywhere. Whether you're a DIYer or a pro, this vacuum pump is an excellent choice for A/C maintenance. Good Pump, Good Value
I bought this to evacuate the air conditioning system in my 2015 Forester after having replaced a high pressure rubber gasket that was leaking at its A/C compressor attachment point. After leaving it run for 45 minutes, the VIVOHOME 3.5 CFM Single Stage Rotary Vane Air Vacuum Pump was hot to the touch but it did create the vacuum needed. That vacuum was maintained for over 30 minutes even after the pump was shut off giving me proof that there were no other leaks in the system. Using my auto A/C vacuum gauges and hoses, I then recharged the system with one 12 oz. can of R13 .VIVOHOME's instructions say before running to add the included pump oil up to the fill line level in the site glass. There are two fill lines, a min and a max. I decided to fill it to to the min fill line and that seemed to be the right level as no oil spray came out of the exhaust hole at any point during my use and the oil level remained constant. I was left with about a quarter of the provided oil still available for future use or topping up. It's recommended to change the oil after each use but the oil in my pump remained clear and clean so I left it in the pump for another use.Often times, I think of a low cost item as being inferior; and oftentimes it is. But I don't think that's the case with the VIVOHOME 3.5 CFM Pump as I was pleasantly surprised with how well it worked.

Deep vacuum reached
This vacuum pump worked well, easily reaching vacuum levels less than 120 microns during the mini split evacuation and installation. (I measured 4 microns at the pump!) It comes with enough oil for one filling; buy more for repeated uses. The only sad comment is that this little pump will likely spend its lonely life sitting on a dusty shelf after its only use by a DIY mini split customer. If there was only a way to ship it to the next customer to share its benefits.

Died after a handful of uses
I bought this a little over a year ago, and for the first few uses it was great. I didn't use it often, it would sit on a shelf for months in between. The last time I tried using it the thing was completely dead for no reason that I can tell. Maybe half a dozen uses total, just a few minutes at a time. Even though I bought it a while ago it's still practically brand new. And dead. I know this is a cheapie, but still I'm pretty disappointed.
