This is a GREAT product. It cuts the grass and weeds really great. In fact, I bought a second one since I liked the first one so much. It's easy to use and really sharp blades.

Just received the item today. Was really excited to try it when I saw it. It was fun. My concerns from other reviews was its weight and amount of physical effort that would be required by my hands. I held it with both hands. I did not have a problem. It cut well for all the tall weeds and will help me to get the edges my manual mower can’t. It cut bunches of grass but a little less gracefully- like cutting large stacks of paper with scissors. I was also worried if the height would be tall enough. I did not have to stoop. (I am 60-65 inches tall.) I appreciate the thought that went into inventing this item. It is easy to use, not intimidating, and will be easy to clean and sharpen the blades. My only frustration is a lack of a storage case to cover the blades and securely store it in the garage. Other than that, yay to the end of landscaping machines!

It feels a little flimsy, but actually is holding up well. Better for light duty as it tends to clog up under heavier use because the blades are only pushed together by a fairly weak spring so tough fibers can get in between the blades. Great for more sparse weeds around garden plants than clearing land, but hard use has not caused any problems. The squeeze handle can be a little pinchy, but nothing too painful. Overall I am pleased, and I've put it to a lot of use already. Lightweight, cheap, and pretty effective.

Works great! Light weight annd cuts tall grass and weeds in hard to reach areas without bending over. Highly recommended.

I purchased all 3 of Fiskars grass shears (36" Long-Handled, Power-Lever, and Swivel Blade). After using them all, here's the details after actually using them. The long-handled is a great idea and makes trimming easier. Rotating blade stays in place when used. The tips of the first one I bought wouldn't cut so I returned it for a replacement. The replacement worked better, but the blades don't stay sharp for long. The blades for both the long-handle and the swivel blade shears are thinner and don't hold up. I GIVE THE LONG-HANDLED SHEARS A RATING OF 3.5.The swivel blade grass shears had a lot of issues. As just mentioned, the blades are thin & dull quickly. The blades also would occasionally rotate while trimming instead of staying in place (this was not an issue with the long-handled version). The switch to lock the swivel blade shears is on the side rather than on the top like their other models. This switch would slide down into the locking position about every 10 clips and was a nuisance with having to keep unlocking it. I GIVE THE SWIVEL BLADE SHEARS A RATING OF 2.The power-level shears performed very well. The blades are thicker/stronger than the other models and stay sharp longer. I had no issues with these. Well made! Excellent shears! I GIVE THE POWER-LEVER SHEARS A RATING OF 5.

Easy to use, blades sharp, cuts well, adjusts easily. Takes the weight off of stooping!! A must have if you have any back issues. Gives you control back. Great purchase!!

These Fiskars 9210 Long-Handled Swivel Grass Shears will literally save wear and tear on your back and knees both when you have any small yard trimming to do. These are not made for grass trimming around the perimeter of a large yard, as your hand would wear out from squeezing the handle. We use the electric string trimmer to trim the grass against the fence around our entire yard. As for all the other trimming in the yard- around the house, the garage, around bushes, trees, sidewalks, the patio, gardens, corners and utility poles, these Fiskars Grass Shears are just perfect!These shears are meant to trim grass and lighter plants, not anything thick, but since grass is always growing around everything in our yard, they get a constant workout. The 3 foot height is just perfect- no bending or stooping ever. There is an orange turning device on the blades, allowing you to turn these blades to any angle you need. The blades actually turn a full 360 degrees. The 5 inch blades are fully hardened for long lasting sharpness and also lock for storage or when you are turning them. We noticed they do come with a slight oil on the blades themselves.I contacted Fiskars and asked about any maintenance for the blades, and they told me they should stay sharp for years, but you could add a sharper edge to them in time with a hand sharpener- similar to a lawn mower blade sharpener. Cleaning and lightly oiling them when they become dirty will keep them cutting perfect. Fiskars actually has a lifetime guarantee against any defects in workmanship. For under $35.00, these are a must have for saving my back and knees with the constant maintenance of yard trimming. These are not just for older people, as I've always had bad knees- and I wish I had known about these years ago!The thought of trimming all the constant grass around the yard made me not want to do it. I'd have to get out my small shears, my knee pad or a stool to sit on- depending on the height of the grass or weeds. Afterwards, I'd need my heating pad and linament for my aching back and knees, not to mention Aleve or some other pain killer. Spending so much time in pain made me dread trimming. Now, I just grab the Fiskars Long Handled Shears- stand, trim and that's it. These shears are worth much more than 5 STARS, and I know I will never be without them again, as saving my back and knees are worth everything!
