Want to use a marine grease for utility trailer and truck fittings. Does old grease need to be cleaned out before using, or can you mix?

You can mix, although if you are repacking an axle it would be better to remove the old grease.

Is this compatible with Mercury 2-4-C?

2-4-C will not wash out in water and is used for propeller splines, impeller key ways and linkage and bushings inside out drives that are always under or in water. So no this grease is not the same and should be used more for gimbal bearings trailer bearings and driveshaft splines ( anything that’s not under water normally) even though it can get wet

Is the color of the grease blue

The Lucas grease is blue/green in color.

Will this work in gasoline rich environment? I am looking for a grease to use on a gas pump.
