Sacred Chant

Extremely soothing and calming collection of chants. I purchased this for my devote Catholic mother who spent most of her life singing in the church choir. She is now well into her eighties and suffers from tinnitus so I had the idea to get this and other music that would distract her from the ringing in her ears (had to resist my humour and avoid the obvious Mike Oldfield album).I'm in the process of putting together a collection of chants and hymns so she can play them when she wants. I also find the sounds very relaxing and often find myself staring into space while listening to them. I find it is very easy to clear my mind with the sound taking over from my thoughts.It's monotonous stuff without doubt but it's not what I choose to listen to. I purchased it for mum, she understand Latin so I think she gets more out of it than I will ever do. There is a kindness to the music and brings her comfort.

A lovely way to de-stress. I introduced my wife to Gregorian Chant music for complete relaxation and bought this for her. She loves it and it is very beneficial in today's stressful world. It's amazing music and the explanation in the CD cover note is interesting too.

Not quite as good as I expected, judging by the reviews, but I guess it all depends on your taste.I found it a bit rough and didn't like the accompanying organ.

Bought as a present and very good for when you need to relax; it has the ability to help settle the mind and could be tried as a tool for meditation. Definitely recommended.
