WEN15-Amp 12-Inch Dual-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw with Laser (MM1213)

another home run for wen. perfect out of the box, and everything is square that needs to be. blade to table, blade to fence to table, etc. nice big, powerful 12 inch blade ready to cut what you need to cut. the slides are smooth. blade guard snappy. scales were marked perfect. the only bad i see, is the hold down clamp is metal. no protective rubber or plastic to protect the work piece. not a deal breaker. some liquid plastic, or glue a small piece of rubber on it. the laser?? the booklet is small. i had a hard time figuring out the laser. it is wired into the saws wiring, meaning no batteries to wear out or be replaced. thank you for that, wen. but, the booklet never said how the laser works. there is a button close to the power handle. press it once, white lights come on. it cycles different modes. laser only, light only, laser and light.... very nice thing. but, wen, please include that in the instructions. i had issues figuring out the handle release. the slide release was a bright orange wing nut. the handle release, is a black weird knob/lever that needs to be pulled and rotated 90 degrees. the books diagram is so small, i couldn't locate it for awhile. when i did, i chuckled. why not bright orange like the other lock.. other than those 2 things, this saw is a beast. just get this one. you wont be sorry. i cant recommend this saw enough.

This WEN saw has exceeded my expectations. I own the 7" version as well and use it daily without issue.I picked up the 12" for heavy duty jobs and it hasn't let me down.The laser works perfectly, the blade cuts true, and the arm retraction glides smoothly.I also purchased the WEN portable miter saw table that pairs very well with both saws.

This saw was a huge disappointment for me. I purchased it based on the reviews. 1. The miter lock was extremely dangerous in between the built in locks, which makes it impossible to find time angles in cuts. The miter lock would "wander" as I tightened it and would not lock securely. This was not something that was related to damage. This is related to the design of the locking mechanism. 2. The depth stop on the saw was stripped and unusable. 3. This saw was not accurate during it's "sliding" capability and would produce a cut that was accurate. Unfortunately you have to use the thing before finding any of this out, so I am hoping for a full refund.

The saw comes assembled. It looks and works great. I needed something that was portable for the work sight and would set on a portable stand and this fit the bill. It is large enough to cut the larger boards and even 4x4's. I am well satisfied in my purchase.

Supplied alan for blade change broke when trying to loosen blade.I hope this is not an indication of the materials used on building the saw or qulity.Will see

This saw far exceeded my expectations. This is a solid and accurate yet portable saw. I have ordered some more of their tools I was so impressed. Matches the quality of some name brands

I am pretty impressed with this saw. It is very smooth, quiet, and accurate cutting. The laser is not a too bright, not sure if it is adjustable, I need to look at instruction. Other wise it is perfect.

Title says it all. Doesn't matter what type of wood I try to cut. It turns it into a projectile weapon. It kicked the wood into the body with sufficient force on the first cut that it broke some of the plastic bits on the saw. Returning.
