Unpretentious Black Cocoa Powder, Dutch Processed, Cookies & Cakes, Rich & Decadent (8 Ounce)

I first tried black cocoa powder a year ago. I love the deep, rich, and chocolate flavor. The Unpretentious Baker brand is of very high quality. I purchased this one for the size of the container. It stores well on the top shelf of my refrigerator. The fat content is listed 10-12%. The flavor reminds me of a cookie part of an Oreo. The smell of the powder is fragrant and fresh. I made my favorite chocolate cake, and it did not disappoint. Moist and sumptuous with a dark inviting color. Excellent product at a great price point making it worthy of any recipe!

This is such neat ingredient. It literally tastes the cookies from an oreo. I used this to make oreo brownies. It is a good sized container for the money. Nice dark color and very versatile.

I really like the flavor of this BUT it is not interchangeable with regular baking cocoa in recipes. Ruined my chocolate chess pie. I think the recipe needs to call for Dutch-processed cocoa. Lesson learned. I'm going to keep trying until I get it right because I love chocolate!
